Thanks Grant I keep meaning to tell you that my daughter's name is Lily too (we went with the Lily instead of Lilly, but still made me smile).

Glad to hear that you had such a great shave after the setback on Sunday.

Glenn, it is quite fun. At first, I looked at it as a quick way to shave when I didn't have time for my straights. Now, I enjoy it almost as much.

Thank you! The Goodfella looks scary, but it is all bark and no bite!

    Good morning friends,

As you know I got a synthetic test-brush by Muehle. This brush works very well.
I used it today together with:
    soap-stick: Oriental Plum
    razor: TI
    ASB: Murnauers Dead Sea

    Have a nice day.

    Soap & Cream: L'Occitane Cade
    Brush: shavemac Best Badger
Razor: Almond & Allman Brother's Razors custom 8/8 half hollow round point

This is one of the two razors I made under the mentorship of Bob Allman at his home this past weekend. Tuesday morning was her maiden shave, and it was awesome. It's amazing what you can accomplish with someone really talented looking over your shoulder.

I'll post more pics of this razor and her "sister" in a separate column Wednesday evening. BTW, there's no such thing as Almond & Allman Brothers Custom Razors, but since Bob & I share a similar last name I couldn't resist
