Boys, thanks for all your kind comments after seeing the photo of Jacky. It gives me a big lump in my throat to know that there are so many people all around the world who care.
No shave for me tonight. I was ready to go, showered, Crown & Sword stropped, bowl and brush warmed when Jack and Lilly decided to get out of bed and start mucking around. By the time we got them back in bed everything was cold, the moment was lost.
Never mind, I thoroughly enjoyed all your shaves.
Matt hope your feeling a little better.
Glenn, love that pic you just posted
    Great posts and pics everyone
    Thanks

The Ogallala soap makes mounds of rich lather. Wonderful stuff.

The synthetic brush doesn't need to be soaked, I do it but it's isn't necessary and it whips up creamy lathers that really fan out the bristles. That is for me a way to know if the lather is moist enough, wide brush = moist(when the lather is too dry the fanning is less). It also is quite soft on the skin(softer than my boar brushes at least). I do not, however, posses a badger brush to compare with. One it on the way from shavemac right now. So I'll know soon what the difference is.
Thanks for that thorough assessment BB. I do appreciate it. I hope you like the Shavemac...It is my favorite brush in the collection (so far), especially the D01s.

    Gentlemen,
Fabulous SOTDs today...well done. Like Grant, I am skipping shaving today

Razor: Wade & Butcher – The Clean Shaver
Balm: Alum Block & Booster Moss Wood
    After Shave: L’Occitane Vetyver
Result: A great shave. I took a two day break from the bad shave on Sunday and used this beautiful Wade & Butcher near wedge that cut through the stubble like a hot knife through butter and I only had a second pass because the lather was too good to waste. A smooth result and when I passed the alum over the skin I felt nothing but a tightening of the skin. Awesome shave.
