Good day Gentlemen.
Great shaves and pictures this Sunday.
I spent at least 30 minutes this morning shaving, and loved every minute of it.
Todays brush was a Shavemac 26 mm Special Silvertip two band, used to make a great, warm later in a Schwartzweiss XL from TOBS Lavender cream. The smell of Lavender is fantastic, and it is easy to make perfect lather with the TOBS creams.
My Sunday morning razor was a Thiers-Issard Historic 6/8. I think this is my favorite razor so far. I shaved four passes today, with touchups, result was a tru BBS. That is my goal every Sunday when I don`t work the weekend.
Finished with Alum block and TOBS Sandalwood Aftershave gel. Perhaps it is time for a Trinidad Fundadores?
Wish every SOTD poster/reader the best of Sundays.

Train wreck of a shave
Ever have a terrible shave… but you just can’t stop it? So I make the lather… to thin so I add some water… to much so now it’s watery… but I keep trying to make it right, arghhh. Then while shaving, I just can’t get this little patch right on the edge of the chin… keep at even though I know it’s going to end bad… it does. I ended up with four weepers and a little razor burn on that chin edge that I JUST KEPT AT. After I rub the alum block across the whole face feels like a mess, the Proraso balm helped though, a little Aquarius to add a little burn to remind me for the day. Then the final insult was after stropping, cause I know that it needs a touch up I turn the blade half way up the strop and slice. A horrible shave, I should have just let the beard rest for a day.
Location: 32°28′05″N 93°55′16″W
Music: Rod Stewart
Prep: Shower & towel
Preshave: Proraso
Scuttle: 1.5 Dirty Bird
Soap: Proraso soap + Musgo cream
Brush: New Forest 2211
Razor: Wade & Butcher Full Hollow barbers notch
Balm: Alum block + Proraso balm
After Shave: Booster Aquarius
Result: Horrible, four weepers, razor burn on the chin; the best part of the shave was getting dressed. Arghhh.
I hope everyone else had a great shave and remember, if it feels wrong STOP.

Max,
As always...stunning gear and SOTD. Hope you enjoyed the Margarita
I bow to the Bow
Great shave and gear Fonti.
PS: Curious as to why you'd prefer the Semogue 2010 LE to the Polo?
I hear you buddy...No shave day for me too. However, I look like a much better version of this :
Beautiful brush and razor Mikael
Fabulous razor Grant. Well done
Excellent choice of software/hardware Otto
Congrats on the new addition to your collection. She's a beauty (hard to see the smile in the pict though).
Yum Yum...sourdough sounds divine. One of my favorite breads. Enjoy it.
Blueman,
Sounds like you are really ready for the Super Bowl. Great shave
Beautiful blade Jeff...Sounds like you are really enjoying Al's creme.
Ahhhhh Arild,
Now, that sounds like my kinda shave...nice and long and enjoyable. Well done maestro
Shavemac 2-bands are absolutely a dream to use. I have a custom 24mm and she is one of the densest (yet soft tips) with stiffest backbone brushes I own. Love this beast.
Beautiful blade too....But wait a second....hey, where's the model we've so become accustomed to seeing??? Were you just teasing us, LOL.
Pure class Mike. Very nice.
PS: I came very close on bidding on a Piccadilly on the Bay recently, but chickened out (don't know why though).
And he bring out the BIG Guns. Nice choice Mark. Enjoy the Super Bowl. Can't wait for the 1/2 time commercials.
Very nice Bruce. Love the handle on that DE of yours. Very very nice
Mark,
Nice shot with a nice razor.
Oouuuchhhh Eric,
I feel your pain. Sorry to hear about your weepers, . We all get those terrible days with terrible shaves and it just doesn't feel right from the beginning. Just remember all the other great shaves you've had in the past and let your face rest for a day or so. Touch up that blade on the hones a bit...I am sure once you do that, she will deliver one of the smoothest shaves next time around.
