Rameau Frères A Sens 7/8 - Semogue 2009 LE Boar - L'Occitane Cade Soap & Balm
I love taking ebay razors from crap to shave ready in one evening. France seems to have a wealth of brands no one has heard of, and this is the first frameback (faux or otherwise) I have enjoyed. French steel can be so sweet, even if the scales are clearly homemade. Have a great week!Last edited by bassguy; 02-08-2011 at 05:31 AM.

Thanked: 50Hi Robert,
Most people on SRP won't agree with me here, but I really like that brush. It took about a month for it to break in, but since I only had 2 boars I could rotate them rather quickly.
The synthetic brush doesn't need to be soaked, I do it but it's isn't necessary and it whips up creamy lathers that really fan out the bristles. That is for me a way to know if the lather is moist enough, wide brush = moist(when the lather is too dry the fanning is less). It also is quite soft on the skin(softer than my boar brushes at least). I do not, however, posses a badger brush to compare with. One it on the way from shavemac right now. So I'll know soon what the difference is.
Cheers!

02-08-2011, 11:22 AM #107Razor: Revisor
Brush: Semogue Custom Boar
Lather: Boheme Bomb + Cade SS + Glycerin
Post: Alum + Thayers Rose
ASB: Cade
EdT: Ormond Jayne Isfarkand
I haven't been making uber lather too much lately, so I decided I'd give it a go. The Cade/Boheme combination made for a sweet bunch of incredible smelling suds. They left a slick cushion for the Revisor to glide right through. It was so luxurious that I couldn't help myself--I did an extra pass! I was rewarded with smooth, moist skin.
Bring on the day!

Prep:Hot Shower
Brush: TGN custom 24mm
Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Uberlather: AOS Sandalwood soap, St. Charles Shave Unscented cream, Glycerin
Razor: Genco “Easy Aces”
After shave: AOS Sandalwood ASB
EDT: Cartier Roadster
Result: 3 passes today. The blade is starting to pull and is time for a trip to the hones (happy dance ). I tightened up the pins on this razor last night as well as the blade was getting a bit loose and wouldn't stand open on it's own.
Have a wonderful Tuesday gentlemen!
