Überlather:Black Jack "Triple Cushion" Shave Creme + QEDman "Special 218" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Excellent SOTDs gentlemen. Have a GREAT Monday.[/QUOTE]
Awesome setup and shave Robert!!, Ive been eyeing that QED special 218, but what notes( do u think) are in it, or does it smell similar to another soap maybe?

Spruce, spruce and spruce. It also has kind of a sweetness to it. It's very invigorating. The B&B soap QED offers is the same as the special 218 but had added sandalwood which tempers the spruce. Both are excellent scents. I do have a weakness for the 218 due to that addicting fresh spruce scent.

Matt,
Max is right on. Here's what I got:
Fresh evergreen scent of spruce, combined with the fruity scent of blue tansy (which turns the soap a natural blue), and the woody balsamic scent of frankincense, along with 9 other essential oils
I could not get him to reveal what the 9 other EOs are (proprietary formula ). Those other 9 were of great interest to me.
Do remember, it is a very strong spruce scent that hits you as soon as you open the cap. I recommend it.

That is the most true sandalwood you'll ever find! The Sandalwood soap is as real as it gets.
I found an old e-mail from Charles/QED as I had asked him back then the difference between the special 218 and B&B soap.
Special 218: Spruce, Frankincense, Blue Tansy ...
B&B: Same as above with a generous amount of Sandalwood ...
