Mikael: very, very hard luck with the Fat, my friend.
One of my very infrequent SOTD photos today:
New Forest 2211 silvertip; Electric Razor Co. Hamburg Ring 13/16; Nanny's Eucalyptus soft soap; Taylor's St James aftershave.
Result: highly satisfactory.

Beautiful Razor! The dark side of RAD is strong with this one!
Sorry to hear about that. But its not the MWF. Nope! Its the razor. I would be more than happy to relieve you of her.

Thanked: 50Pre-Shave: Hot shower & conditioner => Lather => Hot towel => Lather
Brush: 28mm Shavemac 410
Razor: 9/16 W.M. Elliot, full hollow, muted square point
Strop: DOVO Cowshide
Superlather: Tabac + TBS Maca Root
Aftershave: Hot towel => Cold Towel => Alum => Cold towel
Aftershave balm: Nivea Sensitive
Aftershave Splash: Old Spice Original
Results: Tonight is my graduation party, and I deliberately didn't shave this week to get an awesome shave, and it was! Totally BBS without irritation. I'm really happy with this superlather combo.
On another note: Very nice shaves everyone! I don't respond to them, but I read them.

OK, yesterday, the shave with the Imperial was amazing but today's shave was easily eclipsed yesterday's. This was always one of those razors that never gave really bad shaves but they just weren't very good and seemed to peak at just above OK. That is until today; this is without question the best shave I've ever had with this razor in the two years or so I've owned it. I knew that it being a Boker, if I hung with it long enough, it would start shaving like one. What better way to finish it that with a tip of the hat to Pops with the EL. Epic shave today boys! The older I get, the better I was

Hi Andy! Thank you, I´m a bit sad, I really like the MWF, so much that I maybe´ll try again . Lot´s of nice gear in your setup and I love that TOBS bottle
Sweet blade! ... My next goal I think, a Torrey... yeah, I could use one of those

No shave for me today (or tomorrow)
Excellent
You betcha. Best net forum around. Bar none
Congratulations Doug. That is great news. What type of position is this for (if you don't mind the asking)?
BTW: Great photo. beautiful blade and great soap. It brings back very good memories of the Parthenon
At least one of you (the much better half) has great taste, LOL, LOL!! Kudos to your beloved (and you). A+++++++
Whhaaaaattt? No Buddel yet? How long before you get it? I am getting very anxious, LOL.
BTW: Since you will be very busy with your Buddels, you probably won't have much use for your W&B, TI and this Diamond. You have my postal address, right, LOL???? And don't tell me to stand in line
Mikael,
I feel your pain...This is very sad news and by far a disaster. How can one live without MWF? There's gotta be something that can be done. I know that the wool fat that's used is a complex mixture of different kinds of fats, but in the presence of lye, it breaks into simpler fatty acids. If you knew which you had allergies to (I reckon they can do simple skin tests these days), one could tailor a formulation that avoids that component, freeing you to enjoy the full benefits of MWF.
Can you check with a dermatologist to see what can be done? If not, come here, I will make a "drug" that will get rid of that allergy...I can't speak highly about the side effects (liver failure, brain meltdown, etc...nothing serious really ), but at least you will have no allergies to MWF.
Hey Grant,
Ahhhh...the mysterious, all elusive razor. I must say though, you will figure it out soon. That's what makes this sport fun and not boring...the unpredictability. Enjoy the journey my friend.
Bill,
Simple? Maybe. Beautiful? absolutely. Well done. Have a fantastic Saturday.
Beautiful razor Andy. As infrequent as your SOTD shots seem to be, we appreciate and savor every one. Thanks for sharing
Très bien mon ami. Bienvenue a L'SOTD
