Nothing at all fancy about this shave, except the end result. This razor is the bomb.Last edited by 1OldGI; 03-30-2011 at 10:23 AM.

Proof that the little gear can make a difference!
Hellberg | Wee Scot | QCS Vostok + Proraso + Glycerin | S.70 Eucalyptus | Creed Tabarome (Vintage)
This shave was all about performance greatly exceeding size! The little Wee Scot whipped up some amazing lather from the freezing cold uberlather, and this nimble little Swede wiped the whiskers away so effortlessly. I am BBS, and ready for depositions!

Prep:Hot Shower
Scuttle: Dirty Bird Custom Double
Brush:TGN 24mm Premium A in Cherry
Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
Uberlather:Cade, AOS Sandalwood soap, 4 drops gylcerin
Razor:Wostenholm Pipe
After shave: Ogallala Limes & Peppercorns
EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver
Result: I did a little honing experiment on this blade the other evening. I only took her through the 8k Norton. The shave today was very smooth and comfortable, and I will now go ahead and take it to a finisher. I had never stopped and had a shave off the 8k, but have read that if you are not getting comfortable shaves at the 8k level, then not to continue to a finisher until you are confident in your abilities at the 8k level. I'm glad to see that I would be quite satisfied with my edges off of the 8k if there were no other stones out there...but that's just crazy talk!
Have a great Wednesday gentlemen!
Grant, I hope your hand heals quickly! Be safe and have fun!
Thanks
Glenn
