Post Week of March 27 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Razor: 7/8" Le Grelot "Hospital" #14, 3/4 Hollow, Round Point (Butterscotch Micatra - Maxterpiece)
Strop: 45/60 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Jack Black "Triple Supreme" Shave Creme + Bath House "Spanish Fig/Nutmeg" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)[B]
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Proraso AS Splash
After Shave Balm: Bath House "Spanish Fig/Nutmeg" ASB
Cologne: Bath House "Spanish Fig/Nutmeg" EdC
Results: A phenomenal shave today. As per Charles' recommendation (QEDUSA.com), I recently got this Bath House SS, ASB and EdC and field tested them this AM. The soap is really wonderful and I reaaaaaally dig the scent . Very pleasant and long lasting...it lathers very easily with lots of thick, slick and moisturizing lather. The After shave balm is just as nice as L'Occitane Cade (if not better). I highly recommend the Bath House to those interested in trying something new. The Le Grelot hadn't been used in quite a while, so this oversight had to be remedied today...boy, she did not disappoint. I loved the way she wiped the whiskers off my face, leaving behind an absolutely smooth and BBS face with zero irritation .

    Have an AMAZING Wednesday gentlemen.

W&B/Everest SC/Simm's with overstuff TGN silvertip/Barbasol Brisk AS

The Simm's brush is Huge, soft but dense so it's not real floppy. It felt like a big soft fluffy cream monster on my face. This brush does really hog lather. Plenty of cream for 3 passes with extra to spare. All in all a super dee duper DFS from this W&B. It's a good day.

Awesome pictures again on SOTD, Great Blades as always, Have a great day.

    Nivea Shave Cream

    Fantastic Shave Today !!!

I'm starting to really get familiar
with honing these U.S. steel razors
    Actually getting more familiar with
honing period ! These take on extremely
smooth and sharp edges with just
a tiny bevel, not really sure if the
bevel should be wider, but I'm
getting great results on the edge.
    Lovin My U.S. Steels !

SSA 7/16 or thereabouts; New Forest 2201 two band; Crema Cella; Tabac aftershave.

The razor gave me a bit honing angst first time around: it shaved respectably, but not as well as I was sure it should. Much better now, and ready for the return journey to its homeland. I'm not at my best with sub- 1/2" razors, but this one did very well indeed. I've been neglecting the Cella for a while, but this wonderful soap still keeps its place in my top three.

Been a bit busy with grading final papers so I have not had a str8 shave in several days.

    Today's Shave:
Hot shower with Stephan's rubbed into my beard
    Warm Oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Castle Forbes Shave Cream
    Badger Brush
Ambrose Strop, 40 linen 60 leather
    Carl Monkhouse razor
    AOS Aluminum
    Pinaud Bay Rum

    Vaseline for Men

Result: The CF shave cream always performs well. The aroma it produces is relaxing and the shave cream is thick and creamy. The razor, which was honed by Max glided over my skin and removed the whiskers quickly. Nice shave this evening. Passed the BBT with out any trouble.

Enjoy the evening, off to record grades.
