You could try distilled water

I'm at it again! Used Cella for the first time. Smells terrific but I had the same issue creating a nice lather. Just like the Musgo Real SC the Cella only got a slight lather. No matter how much I swirled and swirled. I added water little by little and barely any difference.

I know my water is no more than 5 gpg according to the water quality report. Most soft water systems suggest one be used if the hardness is 25 gpg.

I'm gonna keep trying. If this is as good as it gets because of the hardness in the water so be it. I don't see a big benefit to using a water softener just for the shave cream lather.
