    Just received this razor from Dirtychrome. I believe he will be making a thread on it soon. This was the most enjoyable shave in my 15 years of straight razor use. This beast is a work of art, and we all know old Butchers shave wonderfully. Shower was cold, shave was colder

    Razor: Wade & Butcher 7/8 Full Hollow
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 3
    Preshave: AOS Sandalwood oil
    Lather: Essence of Scotland Sweet Gale Soap / AOS Sandalwood / 4 drops glycerin
    Antiseptic: Alum
    Splash: Pinaud Clubman
    ASB: AOS Sandalwood

    As I was just purchasing some Cask Strength Macallan, the very pretty girl behind the counter leaned forward and gave me a whiff. She told me I smelled amazing. I quickly replied, "There's always room for another time." smiled and gave her my card. It's always nice to see a pretty girl smile. Today was a good day!

    My shave of the day:

    1. Horrifically poor copy of the weishi razor;
    2. Red Pack Personna;
    3. Arko Men Adventure shaving cream;
    4. Nivea Cool Kick Arctic Freeze 2 in 1 wash & shave gel; and
    5. Nivea Cool Kick 2 in 1 aftershave & moisturizer.

    I gotta say, tweezerman+arko adventure make one slick lather. The 6 dollar weishi copy from korea by far the most aggressive shavers I've ever used. I honestly think it was meant to de-meat animal hides. I proceeded to shave, and the first pass was a bit painful, but nothing to call the doctor over. I went on to the second pass and saw a few drops of blood... by the third pass, there was more blood, and irritation on the neck. Too close for comfort, but the Nivea ASB worked magic on it.

    Things are OK, just waiting for the wife to arrive back home. I did get to spend some alone time with my youngest daughter so all is good.

    I'm going to have my water tested just to eliminate that factor. I believe that I may have hard water but not sure as to the severity of it.

    Just a quick update. I read a water quality report from my local water company and lo and behold the water in my area was tested pretty high for hard water. That may explain why the Musgo Real SC won't lather up the way I want it to. I'm going to look into a water softening system.

    Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
