Astringent: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
ASB: Barclay Crocker (Bay Rum Scent)
AS: Dominica "Bay Rum"
Result: Smooth as silk…

This particular straight razor is a sentimental favorite. It was my very first straight razor and it provided me with my very first straight razor shave. I hadn’t shaved with it for quite a while. Its been well over a year since I bought it and its due for its first free lifetime honing by SRD, but after giving it a touchup with a stropping on diamond sprayed felt and rough leather, along with a few passes on a Swaty barber’s hone and finishing with my regular strop, it shaved like a dream. This is the smoothest, closest BBS shave I’ve had in some time.

Yes indeed. The scales aren't fancy like some of my other straight razors, but it provided a really outstanding shave.

Yup, hats are definitely more useful as shade in this type of weather than as head warmers. In really foul spring weather (i.e. heavy rain) I'll bring out one of the wool felts but very soon foul weather, when it comes, will be a hour long typhoon followed by temperatures in the mid to upper 90's with matching humidity. Definitely no need to artificially warm your nugget.

Beautiful weather today. I got the Imp NOS in the package and never honed it. Stropped it and used it. Today I ran the progression on 4/8K and then 35 laps on the 12K. The edge was sharp and smooth and gave a nice shave. After, I realized I never stropped it after the stones. Seemed fine to me.

In the picture you can see the reflection off the bevel. Looked pretty good and shave well also.

I recieved my coronet spatula back from Bill. Thank you Bill. I was also able to talk with Al from "The Bomb". He helped me work out my lather problem with his cream. Man once you get it figured out. This stuff is amazing. Uber all by its self. Wonderful scent filled the room. Ahhhh!!!!!
