    Thumbs up

No shave for me today. Tomorrow, I will enjoy my other Maxificent Maxterpiece.

Nice cigar box Tom. I have 3 cigar boxes (and I don't smoke) in which I keep some of my Coticules and Escher stones. They work great.

Sounds like a wonderfully relaxing day. Enjoy

Another fabulous shave with my new favorite uber. This combination creates a scent that absolutely fills the den like no other. Add to that the performance qualities of two top notch products, and I'm in heaven!
Yuummmmmm...Sounds like an awesome lather Bill.

Great seeing you around these neck of the woods Greg. Beautiful blades. Tomorrow, I will be featuring a blade I bought from you awhile back which Max recently rescaled for me. She looks stunning.

Beautiful AJ Birnando. Fabulous software too. Enjoy the weekend. I have been in weekend mode since Monday, LOL.
BTW: I had no idea DR Harris soaps came in ceramic bowls too. Where did you get this one?

The last few times I've picked up this razor I wondered if its going to be due for a touch-up, but it just doesn't want one. It seems to hold its edge very well.

Terrific looking Long Life Grant. If she don't need no touch up, then she don't need it. I love blades like that.

    .

    Razor: J.A. Henckels Friodur 17 1/2
    Strop: Ambrose Spanish Horse 25/50
    Brush: Semogue LE 2009
    lather: Mitchell's Wool Fat soap
    Astringent: lather
    AS: Floïd vigoroso
EdT: Borsari di Parma, Acqua classica 1870
    .
Summary: Those ancient and huge Friodurs are wonderful shavers. Now, after some learning, I can give a decent edge to the razors,...but this "coticulized" Friodur has surprised me, very sharp but really smooth....I have enjoyed a wonderful shave with my beloved boar LE from Semogue and the best MWF lather.

Thank you! It shaves the part as well

I know what you mean, I've been on sick leave since late February! Every day is a Saturday around here. Can't wait to get back to some proper work again. All I can do nowadays are meetings
I got all my DR Harris stuff at their shop in London last fall. I attended the London RazorCon which was hosted at their store in St. James's street.
The Ceramic bowl was sold separately, but I just had to have that. I thought it was beautiful. I love bowls like that
The DR Harris shop was a really cool place, lots of great stuff and a wonderful staff.

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

You Max as well join the party! You can consider it an heirloom because it's made by a tremendous Maxtercraftsman who does beautiful work!

I typically strive (usually unsuccesfully) to match the photographic prowess of most of you guys. This morning I decided to show a "real" SOTD - not a carefully contrived image. To the left is my face towel wrapped in my microfiber cloth ready to take to the washroom. My kids refer to this as "the shaving burrito" or "the shaving tamale"

Despite my love/hate relationship with this DOVO, it was a relaxed awesome shave.

    Enjoy the day gents!

Edit: Dang, I just realized at the bottom of my hasty iphone photo you can see the towel that's wrapped around my waist and my foot. Good for you guys I was wearing that towel
