It looks soft, but it´s rather harsh, not good for brush

    Friday

Razor: Merkur Futur/Kraut & Dohnal Straight
    Blade: Dorco 301 (3)
    Brush: Altesse Badger
    Cream/Soap: Omega
    A/S: Aqua Velva

Did second pass (of 3) with straight on all areas of face except chin and area of neck below the chin. Straight razor technique is steadily improving and my comfort/confidence with a straight razor is growing.

You guys are just mean, LOL...using other peoples' pets as gear for shaving. Where are the animal rights activists when you need them, LOL?
Thank you Robert! She´s very cute, but a total oddball. I would never hurt our cats, I promise!

She thanks you! Her name is Roxana (and a lot of other names), but we just call her "Schwosan" - she moves fast and is everywhere (where she´s not allowd). I´ve seen her run past our older cat (the alfa cat) and hit him in the head with a paw while she´s running. She´s a funny cat.

Kindal was a French vendor that Heljestrand had very good relations with and your razor is a razor made for the french market. One of the Heljestrand sons worked for and also married himself into the Kindal famliy.

Actually I use a razor sometimes to get tangles out of their fur, it´s the fastest way and actually more secure than a pair of scissors (and I only do it when they´re calm, lying down and the tangle is in a good position and the edge is poiting outwards from the body).

Hello friends (incl. Mikael, Andy, etc.)

Still being with few posts and not a straights shaver yet, I've decided to appear with a new username, for two reasons:
    (a) getting the username that is very close to my other username/handle in a couple of other shaving forums;
    (b) I've decided that my 'old' username, "lars", would be best handed over to a fellow Swedish shaver whose first name actually happens to be "Lars". He's yet to register here, hope he will do soon though.

Hope this is fine with the mods, etc.

(So now Teiste won't be calling me "lars" anymore at foroafeitado.com !!! )

Let's now move on with tonight's shave:

Edwin Jagger DE89BA11 : Wilkinson : Semogue 830 : Penhaligons English Fern : Mennen Skin Bracer mixed with Proraso pre/post : Penhaligons English Fern EdT

    - The EJ DE Barley handles, weighs, looks and feels much better than any picture can show. A lovely razor.
    - The Penhaligons soap appears to be less slick but at the same time more moisturizing than its fellow triple milled competitor from Floris. Still more shaves to come though before any concrete opinions.

    Regards,
    Konstantinos

At 530 a.m. this morning, I did not think I would be home this early today. Everything went extremely well with moving out of the dorm. After emptying the car, I decided to take a nice shower and shave before dinner. I also have an after dinner treat all set for myself.

    Hot shower
    Warm Oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    New Forest badger
Uber lather, Trumper Violet SC and Sandlewood Shave Soap
    Fromm, Translucent Horn by Max
    Kangaroo Strop, 60 laps
    AOS Aluminum
    Pinaud Bay Run
    Vaseline for men

The lather was bursting from the scuttle. So nice and thick. I wanted to spoil myself today so I used the Fromm by max. It was flawless.
I've had some really fantastic shave this week. I don't know if it is because I am getting better at shaving or I appreciate them more after the long days.

    Enjoy the weekend

After dinner treats. My favorite ice cream and my favorite Scotch. And yes, anyone in the neighborhood is welcome to stop by and join me.

I don't know which looks better, the shave or the dessert! Enjoy, Jeff; You've earned it!

That is a good question. I have not looked for it yet in puck form.
I bought the "Premium Soap Sampler" from Gary's Sample Shop at the 'other' forum. It comes with 1/2 each of Martin de Candre, No88, Trumpers Eucris and Trumpers Rose (or it did, not sure he has more). No 88 > MdC.

Ice cream after dinner is my personal favourite too. Gave up the booze a few years ago though.
Where'd you get a Kangaroo strop from? Grave shave too BTW
