Sadly, no time for me to get a picture again , but I managed to get a good shave on Wednesday night, following a good 3-4 days' growth:

    GB Kent T4
    Martin de Candre Savon-a-Raser
    6/8 Le Grelot quarter grind
    Roger & Gallet L'Homme ASB

No EdT as I went straight to bed

Some really great pics here this week - special thanks to Robert, Tom, fonthunter and Frank

    Default Friday!

    Finally Friday!
The kids have their last day of school before a 2 months summer vacation today, good times ahead We'll be doing all sorts of fun stuff!!

    Pre-Shave: a cool shower today
    Brush: Shavemac D01 2-band silvertip 25mm
    Razor:Mastro Livi 8/8"
Strop: Straightrazordesigns Premium IV, EL English bridle
    Soap/Cream: TOBS Lavender Soap
    Scuttle:Schwarzweisskeramik, Large White
    Astringent: Thayers Medicated SuperHazel
After shave Balm: Marin de Candre, Copra Oil
    EdT: Penhaligon's Opus 1870
Results: A splendid shave! This big brute of a Mastro livi is a sweet sweet shaver. It takes and holds a supremely sharp and smooth edge. I find myself using the Copra oil more and more. Wonderful stuff, my skin feels soft and moist. And finally the Shavemac brush will whip up lather from absolutely everything. It's a little powertool

Today is midsummer day here in Sweden, the wikings used to make sacrifice and the day is as long as the night. It´s a big deal here, everyone´s off work and go away (today and christmas´rte the two biggest holidays in Sweden, it´s like Thanks Givings in the US for us). We´re off for an island just outside Stocholm, withing a couple of hours from now

    Pre-Shave: Warm shower today
Brush: Simpson 2-Band Super Chubby 2
Maxtom:8/8 French Point in Mokume Gane
    Strop: Kanayama
    Soap/Cream: Martin de Candre
    Astringent: Thayers Lavender
After shave: Sabon + Vintage Habit Rouge AS
    EdP: Habit Rouge
Results: Incredible! What more need be said about this incredible shave. The MdC ranks among my favorite software and today's lather was particularly rewarding. For some reason it was extra creamy and thick this morning and prepped my face perfectly. The Maxtom is an absolute dream to use and in two effortless passes, I was perfectly smooth! I thought the Habit Rouge was a perfect end for this shave and I'm now ready for court!

THANKYOU to all of you for your support and congratulations.
I've shared some very hard times with you guys last year, it's nice to be able to share some happy news. In fact, after my wife first, you guys were the second people I told.
Its amazing the emotional effect this news has had on me. For the first time since 10th March 2010 I will be bringing home a full time wage. I cant wait to feel like a provider for my family again.
A storeman is not a glamorous role but its good honest work and I enjoy it, and I get to drive a forklift again. Thats fun! I get the impression that there may be oportunities to climb the ladder in the company too.

Thanks Robert. I havent had a drink in nearly 7 years, had to settle for Pepsi and pizza with the kids. A very happy atmosphere here though.
    Now for the shave...
