Post Week of June 19 SOTD - Thursday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby 2", 2-band Super Badger
Glenstrepiece:5/8" Thiers-Issard "Celebration Silverwing II" Ltd. Ed #165, Full Hollow Ground, French Point (w/Ram's Horn scales)
Strop:45/60 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Martin De Candre Savon raser
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floid Italian Amber AS
After Shave Balm: Martin De Candre Copra oil
Cologne: Eau de Candre "Vétyver" EdT
Results: Brought out the little Silverwing today. Don't let her size fool you...she may be little, but she's 100% BIG attitude . Coupled with the MdC soap, this dynamic duo performed one heck of a disappearing magic act on that pesky 1 day growth . Poooof!! All gone. Simple, effective, and clean. just the way I like it. The MdC copra oil and Eau de Vétyver were the icing on the cake for today's shave . AAhhhhhhh...Ready to tackle the day.

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Omega boar # 81052
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Wade & Butcher, 5/8 wedge french point with cocobolo scales
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Lavender spice, house blend
Notes: This was my very first wedge, and still serve as a mental benchmark for all straight razors. The first time I used it, it was so smooth I did not think it was cutting the beard - I had to check the blade for stubble. I just rehoned it and it wasn't quite as smooth as that today, but still a lovely shave.
