Thank you Robert! This QED is a very good glycerin soap, but it has a smell which I do not like very much, therefore running out very slowly.

    Default Wednesday

Feather AC RG w/ 'Light' blade (#4)
    Vitos shave cream
    Durance pure brush
    Floid Suave
Fitjar Folgefonn Mint after shave balm

In Athens, Greece for a quick break, some things to take care of, some sea- and sun-bathing as well...

Fourth consecutive shave with the Feather, not as dangerous as I had originally thought, very smooth, but I now begin to miss straights and DEs. Having been off the forums for a week, I see people using the new Muehle OC... hmmm, interesting, I read it's pretty agressive...

Anyway, regards to all and above all good health and happy shaves!

    Post: Nothing today

    Result:

Well today was a day of firsts, except these firsts were the ones no one wants to have! After waiting 2 days for my previous cut to heal, I decided to try and shave again with the straight. This is where one of the firsts began. While I was attempted to strop, I managed to nick the strop. How I managed to do it, I have no idea. I stopped with the spine leading the blade, and still managed to cut into it while using light pressure (I wasn't pushing down into the strop). My guess would be I nicked it when i was turning the blade. However, I always turned away from the razor's edge when I turned the blade.

This obviously was a terrible start. I proceeded to shave with it, and felt as though I completely dulled the blade (which is no doubt probably what happened) and wasn't able to use it effectively, even with a more aggressive angle. However, I didn't get cut and managed to salvage the shave with my trusted Merkur. We'll see if I can refine my uber-lather technique and also what to do about my now (I believe to be) dulled SR.....

At any rate, it was a good learning experience.

    Have a great day everyone!
