    Paul,
Nasty cut you got there. Try keeping some Vitamin E oil on it for a few months, it will reduce the scar. Even once it closes and turns pick, E will help.

No shaving for me since Thursday, and I'm thinking of skipping today.

    Enjoy the holiday weekend!!

On a brighter note.... SWMBO feels horrible, lol I explained it was my fault as I know better then to ever lose focus. I guess it will give me more urge to work on my project blades and scales over the next few days.....
Good looking shaves all around here sigh, except me...........
Have a great safe weekend all

Ouch, wow really sorry to see that, but I think Robert is right. Wait and the next shaves will get better.

Post Week of June 26 SOTD - Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Rudy Vey w/ TGN Grade A Silvertip Badger (Kingwood Handle)
Razor: 6/8" Solgen "Real Japanese Hollow Ground", Full Hollow Ground, Truncated French/angled Spike Point
Strop: 35/50 laps (Neil Miller linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: CarrieM "Bay Rum" Shave creme + Ogallala "Bay Rum/Sweet Orange" Shave Soap +Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Ogallala "Bay Rum/Sandalwood" AS
Cologne: Ogallala "Bay Rum" EdC (Double Strength)
Results: Despite its smaller size, this Solgen is a force to reckon with. And judging from the quality the shave, I have a feeling that my whiskers know this already . As far as the prep, the more I use the Ogallala, the more I fall in love with it . It's amazing what a little water can do with this soap. I recall reading threads where folks entirely dismissed this soap (and literally tossed it aside) simply because the lather looked "cottage cheese"-like and not shiny and stringy. That is a shame...I think the secret to this soap is water...It takes quite a bit more than most and once the sweet spot is revealed, the lather from it will simply end up surprising you . And that's just the soap. Combining this with another Bay Rum favorite, i.e., the CarrieM, produced an über that was literally out of this world. The glide and cushion are exceptional. Sure, it ain't a La Toja or MdC, but good enough. Why stop here while I am on a roll...I went all out for Bay Rum today. Finished this phenomenal shave with Ogallala Bay Rum AS and EdC. What a way to finish this wonderful "Shave" week

    Have a PHENOMENAL Saturday Gentlemen.

They certainly know what they're doing. She's a beauty for sure Birnando. Use her in good health my friend. Speaking of health, how are you coming along with your post surgery healing?

    Default Saturday Morning

Another scorcher is predicted today, so I enhanced my menthol experience from yesterday.

Prep: Hot shower – followed by Proraso pre-post-shave cream
    SS/SC: MB’s “Lime Ice” + Gillette “Menthol” = Superlather
    Brush: Vie-Long 6910 “Silvertip Badger”
Strop: Strop: VB Red Latigo 50 fabric; 60 leather
    Razor: 5/8” Dovo “Red Solingen”
    Astringent: Thayers “Lemon” Witch Hazel
ASB: MB’s “Lime Ice” + Gillette “Sensitive Skin” gel
    AS: Booster “Polar Ice”
Result: WTG + XTG +ATG = A very close, very cooling and comfortable BBS shave…

One of the first straight razors I bought, "Red" shaves as beautifully as it looks. If this baby could cook, I'd marry it.

    Have a wonderful Saturday!

Thank you Robert! I know what you meen Bill and I´ve got a naging feeling I could be wrong, about 1983, but that would make me being wrong, and that hasn´t happened since ...

    Here you go Robert:

and both (it doesn´t look like it, but the orange cat is approx. twice the size of the mixed coulored one, which is an odd ball, for sure):
