You have a gorgeous Filly there... Congrats.
Amen to that... Revisor (Wowzers!), Al's Bomb and Opus 1870. What more could a shaver ask for?
You must be smelling pretty classy too. One of my former students says that Prada has a really nice fragrance. I just got some for my birthday.
I'll bet. That razor looks pretty awesome too.
And its a privilege to view your posts Jim. You have a super Saturday as well.
From the appearance of your shaving kit, it appears that you are well on your way to doing so."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

Thanked: 1185Prep: Hot Water Wash, Baby Oil Gel
Razor: Imperial Extra Hollow Ground
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Ogalllala Bay Rum Sage and Cedar
AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Finish: Ogallala Bay Rum Sage and Cedar Splash, Firehouse Wacky Tacky
The edge on this razor was getting a bit muddy but that was quickly resolved by a couple hundred laps on horsehide. The edge was nice and overall it was a wonderful shave. I believe that the Lime and Peppercorns soap/splash will be in my next gear requisition. The sage and cedar is kind of a Fall/Winter thing. Still very nice in the warmer months but I think Lime and Peppercorns would probably be a bit better in warmer weather.

PS: Shave Secret Oil
Blade: Boker Edelweiss
Brush: Omega Pure Badger
Soap: Momma Bear's Beau Brummel
AS: Alum Block followed by Burts Bees Bay Rum Aftershave
Cologne: Bath House Spanish Fig & Nutmeg
Results:
This blade was one of my early honing attempts and I remembered it shaving me very well. However, now that I've been introduced to Otto Deutsch's Hans and Bismarck Red, I think my standards have changed a bit. I had a few nicks and raw patches that needed attention from the Alum Block. Still I got a smooth shave.
This was my first use of Beau Brummel. The aroma is strong with tobacco and spices. The scent stayed on my face for quite awhile. I appreciate strong fragrance so I liked this soap. I can guess that its not good for everyone though.

Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Omega boar # 81052
Soap: Mitchell's wool fat
Razor: Faugier Annonay, 6/8 round point hollow ground
Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: English leather, house blend
Notes: Today's shave was over too fast. I received this razor in the mail yesterday and immediately started working on it. Never heard of the brand, but it shaves like a dream. I put a jnat edge on it and stropped it good, it is such a smooth shaver.
Looks like there is a gob of brown goo on the blade, it is from the photo editing filter
Have a great evening guys!

C.V. Heljestrand faux frameback : Omega : Latvian artisan shave soap : Institute Karite balm
Don't know why but this razor fits me quite well. It must be half or close on its way to needing a hone, something which I still cannot spot or feel readily yet; however the advantage for me is that since it is not lethally sharp as some other edges I own, I can now do my chin 97% with one pass plus safer work on the moustache area... My honemeisters are doing a great job but I think I'm not ready yet for 'super sharp' type of edges.
Nice, confident and fast shave overall.
