You know when you have to through salt over your shoulder, well, I missed ... Seriously, it´s a small container from a travel shaving set. You can have a small brush in there or a soap stick or some astringment powder... or someting completly different

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Omega boar # 81052
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Razor: Biedermeyer, 4/8 hollow
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: English leather blend
Notes: I scored this razor a little while ago, it is in near mint condition. Save some very light honemarks there is not a blemish on it. I just honed it up and took it for it's first test. Crisp, smooth, lovely 2-pass BBS. I feel great. Besides, the corn is on the barbie, the steaks are ready to go on, and wifey made a tater sallad.

    Sten,
Congrats on the wonderful score. The use of Da Fat is also a great choice (Viva la Fat). So, what time are we coming over for the party, LOOL? Enjoy it buddy

An excellent shave, American style. You go GI

That must be a nice razor. They command quite the premium too. Would love to see a picture or two of her.

Nice shave, respectable for another 24 hours. Well clean shaven at least
    Nic,
I would think it ought to be more than respectable, especially with that gear.

Well today was very productive if not in shaving but tools for restoring! I didn't know how much I missed woodworking and craft work until I started making scales. So today I got a new band saw, and drill press. Add that with the belt/wheel sander and I think I have the proper tools now to not hang myself in frustration with hand working everything. Modern technology is wonderful mixed in with hand tools!!!!! Oh and the cut is healing nicely. Not sure when but definately this week back in the saddle for the str8!!!!!

    Hey Paul,
Glad to hear that you kept your ego from getting in the way of your "state of mind". You have good self control buddy. Good things come to those who wait. And I am certain that once you pick that straight up and steel meets face, it's going to be nirvana. That will be the SOTD of the day for sure and something I will not miss. Also good news on the healing part.

Thanks Amund...That's exactly how I use all my after shaves. I mix them with Trumper's moisturizer or other moisturizer. It really mitigates the bite of the AS and is extremely soothing and rewarding at the same time. I will have to give this 444 a try one of these days. Who sells it?

The MWF leaves me so well hydrated it's amazing. I've not had other soaps match it in that respect. Good stuff
Thank you for the invite buddy..We got a little tied up with family events tonight ;-). MWF truly rocks, but I think there are some good soap that can equal MWF's performance. Tabac, Czech & Speake, MdC, La Toja to name a few.

Beautiful shave for this rainy day Tom. I wish we'd get some rain too in LA. I miss it.
