Razor: SR Droescher Black Devil |
Brush: Simpson PJ3 |
Cream: Proraso |
Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel |
AS: Aqua Velva |
ASG: 444 |
Summary: Today was brutal with temps over 110F. I needed something cooling so decided on using some proraso, followed up with a mix of 444 after shave gel and aqua velva. Talk about refreshing and cooling. Not only was I BBS but my face felt so smooth and refreshed. Definitely a combo I'll use more often during those hot summer days. |
Wishing everyone an excellent upcoming 4th of July. Two thumbs up for all the great posts I see, day in, day out. |

After Shave/Cologne: Alt Innsbruck AS/Cologne |
Aftershave Balm: Sabon |
Results: Manaslu's turn today and about time too since her last debut eons ago. I touched her up on the Asagi/Kiita last night and she was ready to deliver on demand :nj. All the Japanese western style straights that I own or have had the pleasure of shaving with have consistently been top performers in my book. As far as the lather was concerned, the Trumper's Violet/Rose übercombo was sensational:y. The intoxicating floral scent encapsulated the shave den...I had to fight my wife out of the den so I could begin my zen like shave :p. The shave was phenomenal in every regard http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/...ys/001_wub.gif. Finished things up with a little mix of Trumper's Moisturizer and Alt Innsbruck...What a feeling; BBS and irritation freehttp://www.foroafeitado.com/foro/ima...ies/banana.gif. Now, I am off working on a couple of projects, a grant and a provisional patent application. Hmmmm...Who'd have thought that being out of work would actually end up being busier and more rewarding!!?? Deadlines still looming and my wife's never seen me happier. Go figure. Either I am back asswards or the world works in strange ways. |

Location: Colorado
Razor: Henckles Friodur 4/8
Brush: Whippeddog.com 22mm Silvertip
Cream: Truefitt & Hill Almond
Astringent: Tend Skin
AS: Ogallala Bay Rum & Cedar & Sage
Summary: Starting with a Hot Shower, lots of Ogallala Bay Rum Shower and Shampoo soap. The spicy scent starts a morning off well. Followed by a ton of hot water face wash. Using T&H Almond shave cream, followed by some Tend Skin on the tender spots. Keeping the good old Styptic pencil handy. Didn't have to use it today though. Followed by some Ogallala Bay Rum with Cedar and Sage. What a great summer shave, and an excellent start to a Sunday!! My new Silvertip brush, supplied by LarryAndro, is an amazing lather maker, letting me whip up some of the richest lathers I have ever made! Using my newly aquired Friodur Razor (Thanks Roy) I get an incredible smooth shave.
Enjoy!!! and Happy 4th to all who partake!!
