    Thumbs up

    Gentlemen,
I commend you for such a wonderful display of SOTDs today...This is despite the fanatical terrorist attacks of yesterday on Norway

    Hi Birnando,
Although wonderful in every regard, one can still feel that this shave is not packed with the usual bubbly and optimistic reflections we have come to expect from you. And that is completely understandable buddy. The despicable acts of yesterday has left everyone feeling sick to their stomachs. I would like to thank you for stepping up to the plate and treating the day with the typical "business as usual" mentality...I know it is tough, but I feel it to be the best way to fight faceless terror (and not giving them the satisfaction)

Beautiful Helje and brush. Not your usual brush though (you know, the one with the long handle and cross).

This is hard to believe, shaves are getting better and better almost each time. Cleanest and smoothest in achieving it shave so far.
Congratulations in achieving another milestone Konstantinos. It's pretty addictive and satisfying, eh? Nice Sheffield steel too

    Kalerolf,
Well done with honing this beautiful razor with the Naniwas. Those are great stones indeed. I guess the Rakete was not needed afterall.

    Michael,
You have a very nice collection of razors. Never heard of this "Walky" before though

Post Week of July 17 SOTD - Saturday

Dedicated to the Fallen Victims in Norway

    Name: nolarge.gif
Views: 386
Size: 3.0 KB

(Note: We are ending an SOTD week on a sad note...but, it is necessary to show the perpetrators of this faceless act that we remain united)

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 24mm Thäter Silvertip Badger
Razor: 7/8" Carl Herder "Quo Vadis" #98, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Strop: 35/60 (Torolf linen/Ambrose Horse Hide Clásico leather)
Überlather: La Toja "Manantiales" Shave Soap
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: La Toja "Manantiales" AS
    Cologne: La Toja "Manantiales" EdC
Results: Today is an early shave for me (busy, family day ahead). I dedicate this shave to the innocent victims in yesterday's tragic Norway bombing/shooting. To remember this moment, I decided to go with my Quo Vadis and La Toja combination. Not much to say except that despite the fact that they both exceeded expectations in every regard, even this shave wasn't able to fill the void I have been feeling in my heavy heart since yesterday.

I wish everyone a PEACEFUL Saturday.

Prep: Morning PT, Touch Up Hone, Warm Shower, Baby Oil Gel
Razor: J. Wiss and Sons Cosmo
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Soap: VDH Deluxe
    AS: Aqua Velva Classic
Finish: Murray and Lanman's Florida Water

For those of you sweltering in triple digit heat, I would totally recommend this AS/Finish Combination. Edge on this razor was nice and crisp. A great shave.

The older I get, the better I was

Well Robert what can I say about your shave of the day, the colours are absolutely beautiful, if Claude Monet was still alive he would turned that shave of the day into a still life painting.
