Thumbs up Week of August 7 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 24mm Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger
Maxterpiece: 7/8" Geo Wostenholm "IXL Celabrated", 1/2 Hollow Ground, Barber's Notch (w/ Black G10 scales + Hunter Orange wedge)
Strop: 25/40/60 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: Jack Black "Macadamia/Soy" Shave Creme + Mama Bear "Masculine Musk" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Calvin Klein "Eternity" AS
    Cologne: Calvin Klein "Eternity" EdT
Results: Another day with Jack, but this time coupled with Mama Bear's intoxicating Masculine Musk. Fantastic überlather to kick start this shave into high gear. To top it off, I brought out the Maximized Wosty for a spin around the face and she performed spectacularly. An extraordinarily BBS and zero irritation shave for sure...In fact, if one were to look at the definition of "irritation free" in a dictionary, there should be a picture of these cast of characters next to it .

    Have a FANTASTIC Friday gentlemen.

Prep: Hot Shower, Baby Oil Gel
    Razor: Texas Shumate
    Brush: VDH Boar
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum Sage and Cedar
    AS: Ivy Club Pour Homme
Finish: Old Spice Fiji Body Spray

Well, I think the yuck cloud that has hovered over me for the last four days is beginning to clear. After the last three days of feeling like 5 turds this morning I only feel like about 2. I actually tasted the morning cigar (a wonderful La Veleza Dominican) and had a good strong cup of french roast coffee. I'm not back to a hundred percent but I do feel markedly better than I have yet this week. What I do know is that I've spent more time on my back than any decent man can live with. And while minor congestion and an annoying cough persist, I really need to get out and move around and will likely try some light PT this evening.

The shave was great today too. As you can see, I brought out my fanciest fancies I'm waiting to get blasted for the body spray but it does actually smell pretty good (and come on, it's not like I'm wearing Axe it is after all an Old Spice product.)
The older I get, the better I was

    SOAP/CREAM: Razorock XXX
    ASTRINGENT: Thayers Unscented

Got my Razorock in and had to try it out. This soap/cream is some pretty great stuff. The smell, the glide, the moisture, it was all there and was all superb. What better way to enjoy this cream then with my Wade and Butcher. Never fails to give me an excellent shave.
