    Default Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 1
    Razor: Revisor 6/8
Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/English bridle
    Soap/Cream: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Astrigent: Alum block
    After shave: Sir Irisch Moos
Results: Wife and kids left the house for a couple hours, so I decided take advantage of it and took a looong hot shower, and a slow 3 pass shave. MWF selldom fails for me, neither did it this time. The wonderful lather gave the Revisor perfect working conditions and resulted in what probably was my BEST SHAVE EVER!

    Have a great weekend guys!

Post Week of August 7 SOTD - Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 22mm New Forest Silvertip Badger
Razor: 6/8" Hanamasa "Azuma" Kamisori, Yasuki Steel
Strop: 15/35/45 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: RazoRock "Cacao" Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Ralph Lauren "Safari" AS
    Cologne: Ralph Lauren "Safari" EdT
Results: Every time I bring my Kamisoris out, it freaks my wife out...she thinks I'm ready to partake in the "Seppuku" ritual . Despite this blade's 6/8" size and simplistic yet beautiful design, she is extremely compact in form without compromising function. She also packs one of the most wicked and unforgiving tips I have ever seen on a razor. The combination of the RazoRock and MWF was an interesting experiment to say the least, leading to a phenomenal and scented überlather whose characteristics are going to be very tough to beat (even by MdC standards). An extraordinarily clean and CBS feel. I am ready to host today's meetup between a few of our fellow wetshavers.

    Have a AMAZING Saturday gentlemen.

It came in a 7d set-there were 3 of them, 3 HMiC (from New Haven) and a junker.
My bad...beautiful WW nonetheless. Nice find

    Prep: Hot Water Wash
    Razor: Imperial Extra Hollow Ground
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Cream: TOBS Eton College
    AS: British Sterling

Pretty bare bones Saturday shave but man it was nice, the edge on the razor was in absolutely fantastic shape and my typical two pass shave rendered CBS results. You know, I really dig Eton College, in fact I think I would do just fine with my entire soap/cream rotation consisting of Mitchell's Wool Fat and Eton College. But there's so much out there to try I don't think I'd be comfortable doing that quite yet.

The Hanamasa "Azuma" Kamisori, looks amazing Robert, the simplistic design is something that's taken the Japanese more than a thousand years to perfect, we in the western world sometimes forget that less is more. It's not what you put in but what you leave out that's important.
