E.A. Berg 5/8 near wedge
Neil Miller linen/English bridle 40/60
Vie-Long E16510
D.R. Harris Marlborough shave stick
Ortigia Sicilia Ambra Nera after shave
D.R. Harris Marlborough cologne
Second time I use this brush, it's still in the break-in period and I had lathering issues again. The Harris soap never gives me trouble, however today and in combination with the brush and the long absence from using the stick, first pass was not as desired.
Clean overall and thank God I had chosen the precision-oriented E.A. Berg, this razor never fails to disappoint. The Ortigia after shave is something between a balm and an after shave, it's a lotion actually.
Wishing a nice and relaxing weekend to all.

Thanked: 1072Sorry for my lack of participation this week gentlemen. Thanks for all the great posts and pics this week boys.
The wife and 3 youngest kids have been away all week and I've been keeping myself busy doing guy stuff. I'll have a newly restored Sheffield wedge to show you guys very soon.
Location: Coffs Harbour Australia
Strop: Illinois 835
Brush: Premium A Silvertip Badger in Cocobolo
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Superior Razors Near Wedge
Toner: Thayer's Cucumber Witch Hazel
Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha
A/S: Old Spice
Well, the shave was not good. I shaved with this one earlier in the week and decided it needed a touch-up. Unfortunately the touch-up didnt do the trick so I'll have to take it back down the hones a little further. I'll save it for a day when I'm feeling a little more patient.
Enjoy the weekend.

Hey GI,
Hang in there. From the sounds of it, you're well on your way to a 100% recovery. After all, you had a great shave with some of your fanciest gear. That's bound to put any man in a great mood

Absolutely beautiful shot.

Great setup Dinatali...I never tried Dorco blades
Beautiful Imperial razor Amund. Enjoy your stay at your mom's house
Sorry to hear about the lather issues. The DR Harris soaps are wonderful products. Great EA Burg too...She sure rescued that shave ;-)
You call that an excuse, LOOOOL? No worries mate...I am guilty of the same, but my excuse was (and remains to be) "work".
PS: Can't wait to see that new Sheffield blade of yours Grant.
Beautiful gear Grant, but sorry about the lack of performance from this "less than Superior" razor. I am sure when you're less distracted, she will sing for you on the stones and live up to her name.

Not to be pedantic but it's not a W&B, it's a Wade Wingfield-I'd never heard of it before finding it at a flea market earlier this summer.
It came in a 7d set-there were 3 of them, 3 HMiC (from New Haven) and a junker.

Good evening Gents!
Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Frank Shaving finest badger
Soap: Palmolive shave stick / Palmolive cream / glycerine
Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: C. V. Heljestrand No 4, 5/8 hollow square point
Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Lavender spice
Notes: Lovely shave! The lather was rich, moist and warm, providing great cushion and slickness, the razor was sharp and smooth, providing effortless passes, and the after shave splash left my face feel great and smell nice. I feel like a million.
Enjoy the weekend guys!
