Good evening Gents!
Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Fonex boar brush
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: Wade & Butcher, 5/8 wedge, barber's notch
Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Sherwood home made splash
Notes: Nice 2-pass BBS shave tonight, the razor was crisp and accurate, and the lather was warm and cushioning. The woodsy splash was with conifers and a hint of herbs was the perfect ending to my shave.
Great shaves today friends!

08-30-2011, 03:02 AM #79Beautiful 2nd round of shaves gentlemen
Haaaa. It was in honor of Vivi, LOOOL. The scent is intense indeed. Even the QED Sandalwood is amazing and strooooong. Charles doesn't skimp on his EOs
Thank you Joe...This baby is a loose grind, 1/2 hollow...meaning it behaves more like a 3/4 or full hollow. Haven't met a Henckels I didn't like. But, every grind has its pluses and minuses, I guess. Have you given the hollows a fair tryout? They really are amazing blades.
Hmmm...I will try it out on my shoes next time, LOOOOL. I am sure they will do wonders to the shine in that department too. Thanks for the suggestion Mikael ;-)
Yet another fantastic display of amazing gear
+1. One of the best framebacks I have ever had the pleasure of shaving with.
Good detective work Paul...Trial and error is the name of the game. How does the EJ behave with other blades? same problem or is it just with the Feathers?
What a nice shave...beautiful razor and a great splash for the ultimate finish. Nicely done Sten
beautiful Hellberg Michael
Gorgeous backdrop José (and gear), but I see you are beginning to live life on the edge again, LOOOOL
It's always a pleasure to see your SOTDs Teiste...I am sure Emanuel will appreciate the dedication. Well done
Duuuuude,
That's a pristine Le Grelot man...Nice going
Nic,
Congrats on dialing the toe on this razor. Sounds like a fun day with family too.
Nice SB Frank
