    Default A Special Shave

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle:Dirty Bird custom double
Brush:24mm TGN Silvertip Premium A in custom Cherry handle
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Cream: Bayrum & Vetyver
Razor: My Grandpa's Yankee Cutlery “Lion Brand” see restoration thread here
    After shave: Master's Bayrum
    EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver

Result: Today's shave was very special. My Dad recently went home to visit my Grandmother and he returned with 3 razors (1 DE, 1 SE, & 1 Straight) that belonged to my Grandpa who passed away in 2002. I just finished the restore yesterday. A very comfortable and meaningful shave today.

My thoughts and prayers are with all on the Eastern Seaboard. Stay safe.

Glad to hear that you are hanging in there and weathered the Storm Jeff. I was thinking about you guys this morning when I was watching the news. Hopefully everyone fairs well and is ok.

Great shave Joe and congrats on getting "one of the best edges to date". Hope it gets even better.

    Wowww Glenn,
What a nice sentimental piece of steel. It's kicks the volume one notch higher than most razors. Well done and congrats buddy

Mug: 20 oz black coffee mug
    Soap: Institut Karite
Brush: em's place pure "greys" (can't remember the knot size but it's another with an extra long handle)

Strop: 2inch SRD red latigo with web fabric 40web 60leather

Good start to the week. Didn't quite get the shave I had hoped for, my left hand started cramping up in my second pass. But all in all I'm not going to complain. Except for that one issue it was nice to be clean shaven again.

Hello and good morning to you Robert.

    Hey Jamie,
Amen brother...Who can blame you for loving that scent? Q: Which Sandalwood does TOBS use (Australian or Indian)?

Well i'm not to sure about this one, but given the close and long relationship between India and the UK, I would imagine they would be using Indian Sandalwood, but I may be wrong?

    Regards Jamie.
