Today has been great, 52 mile ride on my bicycle which clipped the corner of 4 counties and I'm just about to put the beef in the oven for a classic British roast. Happy Days!

Post Week of August 28 SOTD - Sunday

    ALL THINGS TABAC

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby 2", Super Badger
Razor: 13/16" Toyo Scheön Burg #775, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Honing Regimen: Maruichi Nakayama Kiita/Asagi Hybrid (w/ Tomonagura slurry, ending with water only)
Strop: 0/0/0 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: Tabac Shave Creme + Tabac Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    After Shave Splash: Tabac AS
    Cologne: Tabac EdT
Results: It just felt like a TABAC morning today...What a wonderful treat with this software. Everything the "perfect" lather should be is captured by this creme/soap (either alone or in combination). The Scheön Burg was no slouch either. Just for the fun of it, I refreshed her edge with the Kiita/Asagi hybrid JNat and was rewarded with a delightful shave. It's definitely going to be a great day.

Have a BEAUTIFUL Sunday gentlemen .

Congrats on a great shave with a great razor Amund. Glad you're into skateboarding...it is a fun sport. God knows I've done my share of it (and broken a few bones in my body in the process) as a youngster. Have fun

At first I could not figure out why they would design a “fuller” or “blood groove” the length of the blade. When you shave the soap piles up in this groove and is re-distributed while you shave. I guess you could call it a “soap groove”.
    Mike,
That is a magnificent blade. Love the "Soap groove". That explains the engineering of how and why. Thanks for sharing

    Rune,
That is a wonderful razor...Spend some time with the edge. That edge should yield nothing less than AAA rating.
