    Good evening Gents!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Fonex boar brush
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: Wade & Butcher, 5/8 wedge, barber's notch
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Sherwood home made splash
Notes: Nice 2-pass BBS shave tonight, the razor was crisp and accurate, and the lather was warm and cushioning. The woodsy splash was with conifers and a hint of herbs was the perfect ending to my shave.

Another great day, visited local caves with the family and tried, again, to get this razor right. Its been sharp and pretty good but alas the toe end hadn't wanted to hold as good an edge as the heal. After a couple of dozen laps on a dragons tongue and then 30 on a coticule the toe is now matching the heal and the edge is fantastic.

Thank you Joe...This baby is a loose grind, 1/2 hollow...meaning it behaves more like a 3/4 or full hollow. Haven't met a Henckels I didn't like. But, every grind has its pluses and minuses, I guess. Have you given the hollows a fair tryout? They really are amazing blades.

Hmmm...I will try it out on my shoes next time, LOOOOL. I am sure they will do wonders to the shine in that department too. Thanks for the suggestion Mikael ;-)

I had originally put this blade in my EJ barley but it apparently does not like these blades. After the first pass I perfectly groomed 5 o'clock shadow!!!That was mildly frustrating so I put the same blade into me Gillette slim, dialed it up to 7 and Pow! 2 pass BBS! Guess I will not be using my Feather blades in my EJ!! Have a great Monday all and love the Show today!
Good detective work Paul...Trial and error is the name of the game. How does the EJ behave with other blades? same problem or is it just with the Feathers?

    Nic,
Congrats on dialing the toe on this razor. Sounds like a fun day with family too.

With Mekur blades it's fantastic!! At the urging of Obie I'm going to try it again with the feather just to make sure I didn't have the back put on backwards!!lol who knows? maybe I was blind this morning!!!
