Post Week of August 28 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Simpson "Chubby 2" Super Badger
Razor: 7/8" Carl Herder "Quo Vadis" #98, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point
Strop: 20/45/45 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: Floris №89 Shave Creme + Floris №89 Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber AS
    Cologne: Penhaligon "Endymion" EdT
Results: An evening shave for me today and the last one for several days. Early tomorrow AM, we are headed off to Yosemite National Park with extended family for the long Labor day weekend. It's sure going to be a human zoo there, but fun nonetheless and looking forward to some long overdue R&R. As good as this evening shave was for me, I prefer my AM shaves. I guess I am just a sucker for beginning my days with something I love doing. The Floris produced a delightful lather and the Carl Herder performed magnificently. My whiskers were no match for this dynamic duo.

Have a SPECTACULAR next few days gentlemen . For those celebrating Labor Day weekend, have a safe one...I will have no access to internet + I am not planning on shaving while on this trip...I will miss your posts, but will be with you in spirit. See you on Monday gents

PS: how do you like the shave from the GD?
    It will happen, sometime! LOL

The GD provides a remarkably good shave, very comparable with any of my good vintage razors, I like it a lot. However, IMO, its not a starter razor the edge requires more maintenance and the razors usually come with quality control baggage that needs sorting before it is a decent razor.
