Hey guys. I had an interesting day today. Brought my daughter apple picking with my sister inlaw. She is in school for hair dressing. When we got back she gave me and her boyfriend a hair cut. She then asked me to teach her how to use a straight. She wanted to do fine trimming and shaving around her boyfriends head. I took out a 5/8 razor for her, stropped it and whipped up the cream. I shaved a small portion below his side burn and back neck. He doesnt have much beard growth. She then finished the rest of the back of his neck, Side burn and up around his bangs. She did a great job.

That was very cool. I told her i will give her a razor and i will find a brush for her.

That is where the Lavanda is going unless someone loves it so much to pay shipping for it...

    cheers

    Prep:Hot Shower
    Scuttle:Imperial Shave bowl
    Brush:AOS Pure Badger
    Strop:SRD PIV English Bridle
    Cream:Boheme Bomb
    Razor: Filarmonica DT 14
    After shave: Brut
    EDT: L'Occitane Vetyver

Result: This morning's shave swept away 3 days of growth as effortlessly as a stroll on an autumn afternoon. The scent of the Boheme is intoxicating and the Fili performed it's duties with precision and tenderness. This is what straight shaves are all about. It was an early morning as I played guitar at both services this morning at church. Great start to the week gentlemen!

I'm not sure. Shall I use the Wade & Butcher or the buddelized Wostenholm?
Both they are very good razors.

Maybe you would become teacher of the hair dressing students and give them some master lessons well done Rene.

Thank you for the kind words bro...As to your son, all I can say is: Kids!!!! If you take the media away from them, they are lost. He will change.

My camera is the Fuji S5 Pro...pretty old now. At some point, I will invest in a new one (full frame), but not now. The lens is a critical factor of any camera, imo. You get so much variability even when purchasing the same lens. I think it's best to buy a lens and test drive it with your camera and make sure of the quality. If it's not what you like, exchange it for another. The Olympus is a great one too.
Yeah, kids! I was thiking in the lines of a Nikkor wide angle lens, 1.8 Olympus does good cameras, mine is an old Camedia C5060 though, so no option for changeing lenses - very good for the money at the time and the lens and options are decent enough.
