I bought a 1/2 full bottle of Cade Eau de Toilette from a member at the B&B which arrived today so I had a nearly complete Cade experience which was topped off by my newly restored Otto Deutsch's Hans What a great combo!

    Mikael,
Those are truly awesome shavers. Such a nice smooth edge that you won't even feel it against your face. If you get the chance, do grab one. You won't regret it. This one, literally fell into my lap when I wasn't even looking (but I ain't complaining, LOL)

Thank you Arild. Honing her was no easy task (hard steel and all), but the end result was sure worth it.

    Ahhhh Monroe,
I've been thinking about this RR Napoleaon's Violet" (and a couple of others) as well. I guess, next I out an order through, it'll have it on the list. Well done

A nice long sleep last nite after the past few weeks really restored the internal batteries. Went for a long hot shower and moved to the Glory! A NOS JA 250th Anniversary blade. Honed it up last nite starting with a Norton 4/8, Naniwa 12K and finished on the Shapton 16K. 50/100 on the SRD English Briddle IV and it was ready for 3 pass bliss!!!! Robert I realized I now have both the blades we talked about a few months back!
I saw that one Paul. Telly was selling it on eBay...but ask price of $400 was too high for my blood. She is a beauty and EXACTLY the one I was asking you about. Nice score bro...My drool is on overdrive. I am soooooooo happy it ended up with you who will appreciate her. Congrats

Oooh lala monsieur Tim. L'Occitan scent is awesome. In some ways, I prefer it to the Cade. Also, FANTASTIC restore on the Otto. What a shave that must have been. The anticipation alone...

Clearly Robert has never seen Birnando...

-my barber, Frank, gave me another "souvenir" today-the Puma. Nice blade, and great memories-he used to shave my neck with this when I was 8 years and up.

    Saturday

A pinch and a punch the first of the month and no returns...

My first ever three pass shave and my second with the Mühle R 89 (thanks Obie!). I cannot BELIEVE how smooth the shave was and how smooth my face feels. I can’t yet do a full three passes with a straight; an inch or so above the Adam’s apple is really hard for me to do ATG and bits on the jawline, but with the Mühle is was a breeze. The Astra blade was also VERY smooth; I could feel the Derby I used yesterday but I couldn't even feel the Astra. It’s going to be hard limiting the use of the DE to just Saturdays...

Last shave for at least a week, I’m on holidays now and want to grow some whiskers for the first time in four months

    Razor: Mühle R 89
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Pre Shave: Proraso
Soap : Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad
    ASB: Proraso
After Shave: Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar
