Nice 2 pass shave. Face feels kind of tight and mentholy. SWMBO says she digs this cologne.

+1 - My Flaschner is a wonderful addition to the shave den!

I am normally at work a 5AM. Those extra few hours make a huge difference.

Anyway, loved using the W&B this morning, using it reminded me of how much I love this razor. It was fresh off the hones and I must say I think I did rather a good job!

An Überlather of Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad and La Toja (and glycerine of course) reminded me also of how much I like an Über.

The shave was ridiculously smooth, such that I’d stand in front of Buckingham palace with ½ a Ursus Americanus on my head to be inspected by Her Majesty if needed. Stupidly garish and large cufflinks were the cufflinks of the day...
Hope your feeling better and enjoyed the shave.

That takes a lot of discipline. Maybe one gets used to it, but still. Kudos.

That's an absolute beauty of a straight Mikael, every time I see it the green-eyed monster bites me a little. I was watching it closely as it went for auction, both times. (I think it was pulled before end the first time, iirc). The second time it came up I had just splurged on some other shaving stuff and I decided I could live without it. The work you had done to it is amazing, and I'm so happy to see it found a good home.

Fellas: Today is going to be one of those days for me. Lots on the plate and as such, not much time to hang out or for individual comment(s), but I must say that I enjoyed every one of your posts .

Post Week of October 23 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 24mm Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger
Razor: 13/16" DOVO "Waffen Schmied" #300, Full Hollow Ground
Honing (Refresh) regimen: 4 (light) laps on CrOx leather strop
Strop: 10/45/25 laps (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Shave "Pegasus III" Horse hide leather / Cordovan leather)
Überlather: CarrieM "Bay Rum" Shave Creme + Ogallala "Bay Rum + Sweet Orange" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
After Shave Splash: Ogallala "Bay Rum + Sandalwood" AS
After Shave Balm: eShave "Almond" ASB
Cologne: Ogallala "Bay Rum" EdC (Double Strength)
Results: This DOVO delivered such a TERRIFIC shave today. The edge was refreshed with a couple of light laps around the CrOx/leather and she was popping hairs like no one's business. It is a bit on the cooler side today and what better way to celebrate the coming of Fall than with some Ogallala Bay Rum. The Bay Rum über was out of this world. This combo can certainly hold its own weight in water, with the resulting lather deliciously luxurious and delightfully aromatic. The DOVO made no issues wiping the pesky whiskers down.By the time this shave was over, my face was left feeling ultra smooth and ultra refreshed .

    Have a MAGNIFICENT Tuesday gentlemen.
