11-25-2011, 04:05 AM #211Thursday Samples - Floral Day
Prep: Hot shower with Real Shaving Creamy Face Wash Razor: Dovo 6/8 Desert Ironwood Scales Strop: SRD 3" Black Latigo 50/100 Brush: Bryce C Custom Desert Ironwood 24mm Silvertip Scuttle: Robert Becker #9 Black Lather: Trumper's Rose Cream Astringent: Life Brand Witch Hazel ASB: Trumper's Coral Skin Food Cologne: Trumper's Milk of Flowers Comments: Talk about floral! The rose shaving cream was quite nice and might make "the list", but the coral skin food and the cologne are not keepers for me. I guess samples work! Nice smooth shave from my Desert Ironwood Duo. Great brush and great razor, though it needs to have the pivot tightened. The Noob Chronicle will be updated tomorrow, as I'm staggering off to bed. I hope all of my US SOTD Brethren had a great Thanksgiving!

11-25-2011, 07:12 AM #215One heck of a Turkey feast tonight...I hope everyone's was equally great and fun. Downside is I am too stuffed and exhausted to comment individually (I do apologize). Suffice it to say:
Excellent shaves everyone
EisenFaust: Welcome to the SOTD brotherhood. I think you will find the atmosphere here to be quite relaxed and enjoyable. So, you're the one that ended up with this beautiful JR . I saw the thread by Brad and was very jealous...Now, I know who to be jealous of . Congratulations on a gorgeous piece of steel. Your photo is just fantastic and I, for one, would love to see more.
Michael: If JimR is selling that Special razor, grab it...You won't be disappointed
