    Sunday 11/20/11

    Toyo Hasimoto Scheon Burg 6/8
    Semogue 830
    MWF ss
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Floid Vigoroso a/s
    Musgo Real a/s balsam
    Woods of Windsor Edt

Got up early to shower and shave prior to meeting my kids for breakfast and buying my Thanksgiving turkey. The Scheon Burg is scary sharp and with some great MWF lather I managed a BBS shave. I love it when that happens! And today will be better than yesterday.

    November 20 SOTD

Prep: hot shower and a lingering lather
    Brush: Rooney Silvertip
Strops: SRD pressed felt and CS latigo
    Soap: RazoRock Caprician Lemon
Razor: Wester Bros White Eagle Manganese Steel
Post: RazoRock Alum and Thayer's Which Hazel Lemon

Well as a late in the day shave this is probably going to be my first day at the new job shave for Monday as it was clean and smooth .
I think the edge refinement and slowly getting the angles right has finally payed off on this little razor. The lather started a little wet but with some effort and a bit more soap it came together quite nicely. I still have a couple spots that are tricky but improving with each shave.

Now to catch up on the SOTD reading before it is 30 pages of great pics and shaves

Prep: Hot Water Wash, Baby Oil Gel
Razor: Lecran Cutlery Extra Hollow Ground
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: VDH Deluxe
    AS: Aloe Vera Gel
    Finish: English Leather Cologne

Simple as a brick but a fantastic Sunday night Hollywood (3 pass shave). I think this is one of my big walk aways from my experiment with night shaving, plenty of time to do everything (i.e. 100 laps on the strop, 3 passes if I want, extensive prep, enjoy good tunes etc.) Increasingly, I'm beginning to feel like I could get used to this. Sunday Late Night Shave
Prep: Hot shower and Real Shaving Exfoliating Scrub
Razor: TI Le Canadien 6/8" Snakewood
Strop: SRD 3" Black Latigo 30/60
Brush: PC Woodcraft & Pens 24mm Super Silvertip Snakewood
    Scuttle: Robert Becker #9 Black
    Lather: GFT Cream
    Astringent: Life Brand Witch Hazel
    ASB: Trumper's Unscented
    Cologne: GFT
Comments: Finally, a shave at the end of a long Sunday of household chores and running around. I think I need to hone this blade again, as I don't think I got it quite right the first time and it wasn't the smoothest. More practice is needed! Noob Chronicle will likely be up tomorrow morning as it's time for bed! Have a great start to your week, SOTD Brothers!

    Default Sunday night Monday Shave!!

    .

Locale: Land of the shrinking day.
Music: Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz
Prep: Hot Shower / Hot Towel / Lather Soak
    Razor: 13/16 Robeson 'Robeson's Best' + 4/8 Kerry-Gow
Hones: each got 5 laps on the Swaty, 20 diamond / 20 CrOx / 20/50 felt / leather
Brush: Custom 24mm Silvertip in Honey Locust / Lather Bowl #2
Post: Cold Water Splash - Alum - Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Uber: TOBS Eton College Collection + Sir Irisch Moos cream
    AS: NA
    Edc: Stetson
Result: I was a little afraid of the Robeson since I was the one who honed it last. She got special attention on the razor hone and paddles. I brought my little irish razor just in case, as it has always been a great little wedge shaver, but I didn't need it. Smooth and clean in 3 passes, with plenty of lather left over too. The whole collection of goods today added up to shaving bliss. I must have hogged the bathroom for an hour, and enjoyed every blessed minute of it. Have a great week all!
