    Default Saturday

    Today's shave:

Prep - conditioner in the shower

    Dovo 6/8 Best Quality
    Badger Brush
    JM Fraser's SC

    Post shave -
    Thayer's
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue
    Nivea ASB

    Bigelow Blue Cologne

4th day in a row with the straight. Getting better all the time - I seem to have figured out the angle for under my jawline, and no irritation today. two small nicks (bumps that got nicked off) but only bled a little. I did miss an XTG pass along my jaw, but I didt want to go back and do it again - worried about burn etc. Overall, a darn fine shave. Eagerly awaiting the return of my newly-honed Boker from gssixgun (its in the mail!) and giving that razor a go.

    Razor: Wacker
    Brush: Wee Scot
    Soap: TFS (Blue)
    EdT: MPG Route du Vetiver

A simple and effective single pass after the gym. This was my first time with the TFS soap and it worked a peach! Great Saturday of shaves, gentlemen!

Brush: Art of Shaving Pure Badger

    Soap: AOS Sandalwood Cream

    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel

I just switched from a cheap disposable straight to the M&S that i bought off a member here and i have to say that i like the difference. The shave i was able to get was good enough to pass the SMG's inspection. God Bless and im looking forward to the helpful info ill be getting off this sight while i have my down time.

A great shave this evening. I hadn't shaved for a week because I had a lapse in concentration earlier this week and nicked my self with my Wapi. Well today was the day and it was nice to take the beard down. Here it is

    Strop: Homemade Cowhide and Denim
Brush: TI Faux Ebony Super Badger
    Soap: Crabtree and Evelyn Sandalwood
Razor: 6/8 Blank Le Jaguar (TI Rescale)

Nice selection of kit. I actually just shaved with all the same products a few minutes ago (Fine badger brush though). I love the sandalwood scent. Godspeed on your deployment and as a fellow military member (Coast Guard) I want to thank you for what you do. I'm sure you'll receive many more thanks from the members here.

A fine start to the weekend

    Prep: Shower
    Brush: AOS Badger
    Cream: Queen Charlotte Rose Otto
    Blade: Eyre 4/8 Barber's Notch
    Post: Alum/Nivea ASB
    AS: Dominica Lime Bay Rum

Overall, a good shave. Still having some issues (even after a year of doing this) with a patch on my neck where it appears the growth patterns cross.
