    Thursday 12/15/11

    Oxford Warranted 5/8
    C&E Best Badger
    Erasmic sc
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Clinique Post Shave Healer
    Habit Rouge Edt

A decent shave with the Oxford although it may need a touch up on the barber's hone. It felt as if I was on the edge of nicking myself a few times but managed to get by unscathed thankfully. And today will be better than yesterday.

Straight Razor: Muhle R106 Balck + Elios (#4 use)

    Thursday

    Bad shave cream choice shave

Broker 6/8 King Cutter Roundnose (20 webbing / 50 leather)
    Badger brush
    Body Shop Maca Root SC
    Thayer's
    Booster's Polar Ice AS
    Nivea Sensitive ASB
    L'Occitane Vetyver cologne

My face is red and tight - I'm pretty sure from the Body Shop cream. Its my son's, and I thought I'd give it a try. Nice smooth shave, but my face is red and feeling very tight . Looking back, I think I had a similar reaction when I used it to shave with a DE, too. One more for the do not use list....

    Hot shower, Stephan's, warm oil.
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Custom Badger Brush
    AOS Lavender Shave Cream
Maxtom, 7/8, 1/4 Hollow Barber's Notch, Linen Micarta w/ Pink Wedge
    SRD Strop
    RazoRock Aluminum
    Pinaud Clubman
    Vaseline for Men

I used this razor in honor of Hannah's birthday. The pink wedge was requested because she loves pink and I a great way to further personalize the razor. Second time using this razor, the shave was incredible.
Saw the Doc today. The incisions are healed and I am feeling really good. Off to dinner for Hannah's Birthday!!

Default Not the best, but defiantly my favourite ever!

This was my favourite shave so far! I'm still pretty new, only been shaving about 3 months with a straight.
What made this so special, is that it was the shave that I had on my morning trip back home after a 6 month deployment to reunite with my family.

Prep: Hot shower in a VERY nice inn.
Brush: Some cheap thing I got in Italy
    Cream: Proraso 'sensitive' skin.
Skuttle: Handmade bowl I bought at the top of a volcano.
    Razor: Dovo Bismark

Result: Adequate at best, but I sure felt great going home!

    Cheers gentlemen.

    Happy Holidays.

    Welcome Home
I hope I speak for everyone in saying thank you for the service you provided for our country. I hope your homecoming is memorable and that you enjoy the holidays. Your shaves will feel even more special in your own shave den.

Another close comfortable shave with one of my favourite razors and a great supporting cast.
