Default Shave and a Hair cut,,,,,no longer 2bits.

Started the day with a visit to the barber. As always, got a great cut and conversation. I came home and finished with a nice shower and shave.

Warm Shower, Stephan's rubbed into the whiskers
    Warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
Geo. F. Trumper Violet shave cream
    Badger Brush
    C-Mon Special 5/8 full hollow
Rubbed on the rocks by Rene
    SRD P1 strop, 50 felt, 50 leather
    Razorock Aluminum
    Pinaud Clubman
    Vaseline for men

After Rene posted about all those C-Mon razors he was working on, I called him and put the arm on him for one. He was kind enough to send me this one freshly honed. I now understand whey they are sought after. Very clean shave and the edge was wonderful. Rene, thanks buddy!!!

It's only a sample, but I am dissapointed because it don't last on me, it's an imitation of the creed's vetiver, but different, the opening is citrusy, and it's not soapy as Guerlain's vetiver, stay fresh with something like incense lurking in the background.

Unfortunately I smelled the Federick Malle's vetiver, and I am a victim of this scent,....My absolute fav among the vetiver named fragances. But I must wait because I have overbooking in the fragrance corner....

Cheers Jeff! I seem to get better, but I've stayed in all day, haven't even checked the mail . Sounds like you had a nice shave though, always a great feeling when you get a fresh honed quality blade in your hands : D

    Friday

    Dovo Bismarck 6/8
    Omega Boar brush
Col. Conk Lime soap (melted into a tupperware container)
    Royal Lyme A/S

First shave with the Dovo Bismarck I bought from a fellow SRP member! Awesome shave with a razor that could very well be my straight razor RAD killer (my Merkur Futur did it for me for DE razors).

Thank you for the impressions. I understand where you are coming from with Frederic Maille's Vetiver Extraordinaire. If it weren't so expensive I'd have more than just a decant of it... That said, I can find no fault whatsoever with Lorenzo Villoresi's Vetiver, Sigilli's Athunis, or Profumum's Fumidus...

    Indesio,

Great photo. You're also welcome to post more of them, as you see fit. We'd like to have you as part of SRP's SOTD Brotherhood.

    And happy birthday!
