    Sunday 1/15/12

    Wacker 6/8
    Semogue 1305
    Mama Bears Dublin Tweed ss
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Musgo Real a/s balsam
    Floris Vetiver Edt

A two day growth handled nicely by the Wacker, my present to myself last year for my 60th. I re-honed it this fall under the watchful eyes of JoeD using his Norton and Naniwa stones and it is just fantastic now. It felt great to improve it's edge so well and it pays off on my face. The Mama Bear soap lost some of it's thickness between passes but maintained it's lubricating quality enough for an excellent result, as good as it gets. And today will be better than yesterday.

    Good evening Gentlemen!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Haryali badger
    Soap: Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: D.C. Halsted, 6/8 Hollow Ground
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Home made splash
Notes: Got this razor in the mail the other day in really great shape, I just rubbed it a little with autosol and honed it up. Smooth and comfortable shaver. The splash was inspired by 1001 nights - sandalwood and spices, with a hint of tangerine. BBS and feeling fine.

Post Week of January 15 SOTD - Sunday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 25mm Morris & Forndran, 2-band Blonde Badger (w/ Genuine Bone handle)
Razor: 17/16" Wade & Butcher, 1/4 Hollow Ground, Barber's Notch
Strop: 15/45/50 laps (Torolf Linen / SRD Premium IV English Bridle leather / Ambrose Horsehide Clàsico leather)
Soapreme: Al's Da Bomb "Lavender" Shave Creme + Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-Free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Amber AS
    Cologne: Penhaligon's "Quercus" EdT
Results: What can I say, today was a Wade & Butcher day, but not not just any W&B...Don't let her size fool you. This beast is a very gentle giant. Coupled with the MWF/Bomb combo, she delivered an out-of-this-world Sunday shave. Life is gooooooooood . Softness has definitely a new meaning every morning and today is no exception. Zero irritation and super CBS . Now it's off to spend some quality time with family.

Have a MAGNIFICENT Sunday gentlemen .

Thanks Grant...I will try. It looks like participation will be a "once a week" or so event for me (likely Sundays when I have some time) or whenever I get the chance. This week looks pretty hectic, but I will try my best
