    Monday

    Dovo Bismarck 6/8
    Altesse Badger brush
    Omega soap
    Booster Mosswood A/S
    Polo EDT

DFS shave! I had to be work a little for this because the Bismarck was pulling a little so I took it to the barber's hone after the shave and stropped it so the next time I use this razor, it should shave like a dream again! Since I am off for the holiday, I used my wife's favorite scent rather than the Aqua Velva I usually use on Monday.

    Monday 1/16/12

    Henckels #74 5/8
    C&E BBB
    C&E Sandalwood sc
    Thayers Lemon WH
    C&E Sandalwood a/s balm
    C&E Sandalwood Edt

A C&E Sandalwood day...excellent lather combined with the Henckels resulted in a terrific shave. There was a time when I couldn't use a straight on the morning I worked out but I seem to be getting better on both accounts and it certainly feels good to have made progress. And today will be better than yesterday.

    Prep:Hot Shower
Pre Shave: T&H lemon pre shave oil & Hot Towels
    Bowl/Mug: Dirty Bird scuttle
    Brush: Omega Boar
Uber Lather: SRD Lime soap , Glycerine & Castle Forbes lime essential oil Shaving Cream
Razor: Thiers-Issard Sheffield "Silver Steel", 7/8 singing blade Carbon steel
Post:Alum Bloc , Thayers Witchazel & Dominca Bay Rum w/Lime
    Result: BBS after 3 passes.
Today was my second attempt at making Uber lather and it went way better than the first! Im sold. Im also really starting to like the Boars. If you soak em well first they are real comfortable on the skin and whip up the lather very quickly.
Have a great sunday and a greater week.
I bid you all good health and good shaving.

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 1
    Razor: Wade & Butcher 7/8
Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/Kanayama Cordovan
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
After shave: Str8fencer's homemade English Leather AS splash
Results: The shave was decent, but the edge was not quite where it should be, need to take her back to the hones before next shave. Str8fencer's English Leather is honestly one of the top 5 aftershaves I have tried, great performer, just the right amount of sting and a wonderful real leather scent

Lunch and Shopping with daughter, Abbott and Costello and a nap.

    In preparation of the Warden's arrival this afternoon;

    Hot Shower, Stephan's, warm oil.
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Badger Brush
    Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap
Maxtom, Barber's Notch, 1/4 hollow, Linen Micarta, Pink Wedge.
    30 laps Linen, 50 leather
    RazoRock Aluminum
    Pinaud Bay Rum
    Vaseline for men

This morning I had to clean out the man cave where I was re-assigned after the daughter took the original. I had kept a bunch of old computer stuff including a 1600 bit per inch reel to reel data program tape for a 4383 IBM main frame. I guess the wife was correct, I am a hoarder.

Great shave today. Enjoy the rest of the Holiday for those that are off of work.
