Great news Carl.
To me, the jury is still out on the WMF. Seems to be a bit temperamental.
How could you possibly be stronger or more compassionate than what you have exhibited with your Grandson? To me, your ability to stay strong and hold him, no matter what was going on, is true love, compassion and strength. It would have been much easier for you to have a stranger hold him while receiving those injections. You chose to stand with your Grandson during his worst hours. That takes all the Love, caring and compassion and inner strength one can muster. Godspeed to Baily, you and the rest of your family.
Just my 2 cents.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Carl, this is some of the best news I've heard so far this year. I'm incredibly happy for you and your family. I wish Bailey much health and happiness in the future. He sounds like an incredibly brave and inspirational young man (much like Jackie) and I can see in the many posts you've made how incredibly special he is to you and your family. Take a deep breath, and have a beer on me. This is news worth celebrating!

Thanked: 1072Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
Brush: Silvertip Badger In Cocobolo
Soap: MWF
Razor: Bengall 11/16
Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel
Balm: Nivea Replenishing
A/S: David Craig Bay Rum
I took the Bengall for a quick touch-up yesterday, unfortunately I did a bit of a rush job of it.
The edge was no better than the last time I shaved with it, possibly even worse.
I'll pull the stones out again tomorrow night.
My eldest daughter turned 18 today and we have had five 18 year old girls (no I'm not posting pics) and 2 guys at the house for low key dinner/party.
They seem like good kids, nice to know her friends are pretty cool.
I had to drive some of them home, hence the late post. Its 11:15pm here and I'm off to bed.
Thanks for all the great posts and pics gentlemen

Thanked: 1185Prep: 2.5 mile run, cool shower (I really like that Lever 2000 soap)
Razor: Boker Barber Tip
Brush: Semogue 1305/ Baby Oil Gel
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
AS: Paul Sebastian Knock Off
Brought out another one of my "second string" razors. After a touch up yesterday and a quick stropping this morning, I was left thinking, "Why would you bench such a razor?" I did the first two passes with MWF and the third touch up pass was just a splash of hot water and about a quarter sized blob of baby oil gel. This really is a nice last pass it leaves your skin moist and very soft (they use this stuff on baby's bottom so it seems logical on a BBS shave.)
Carl, great news about your grandson, thoughts and prayers with him.Last edited by 1OldGI; 01-17-2012 at 12:41 PM.
