    Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Custom by Chris, two band
    Razor: Gong
    Soap: Floris 89
    AS: Floris, Elite
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

Nice shave, first go with this soap and it went to thin and dried out on me, I prob missed re the water ratio and had to much right before it was ready (but it seems to be a thin line!?).

    Tuesday

A good day today. Mid January Bailey (my grandson) completed his chemotherapy and yesterday he had the last of his scans and tests. Today we were told that he is now officially ‘cancer free’ and in remission! An operation to re-surface the bones in his arm (he’s now got his fibula in his upper arm instead of his humerus) and hopefully it’s all over. Thank God. I don't know what I would have done if the news was bad, though I've beome a little pragmatic over the last 10 months. I think that's the right word...

This morning’s shave was with one of my JaNorton razors; the Klas Törnblom. An excellent shave after not shaving for several days. I more I use this razor the more I like it; I’m glad I chose this as one of the JaNorton razors, to hone and use through January. A little bored with my current soaps and creams; the C O Bigalow should be here soon and then maybe three weeks after that the O Melhor. I used the Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad this morning. Not bad, for a soap. I’ve only used three soaps, and I find they have less ‘oomph’ that the creams I’ve tried. One day, I’ll start researching and asking about a soap with ‘oomph’, one that has ‘bounce’. I hear Mitchell’s Wool Fat is good? May have to contact Obie, he’s the soap expert I gather...

This morning’s heat called for a cold water splash and Witch Hazel to close up my pores, which are extremely ‘open’ at the best of times. This afternoon in the gym I was dripping all over the place! My plan is to lose maybe 5 kilos to get down to 74 or 75 kilos by my 50th birthday in April. It’s amazing how quickly you start getting your size and strength back after about 8 months of no exercise at all!

    Razor: Klas Törnblom
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Cream: Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad
    ASB: Witch Hazel
After Shave: Pinaud Clubman and Burberry ‘The Beat’ Eau de Toilette

I don't know which I enjoy more: shaving, taking the photos or looking at the SOTD posts.

    Have a great day!

Wonderful news about your grandson Carl!

Do get some MWF, it's a must have soap IMO. I'm sure Obie will agree
