    Monday

This morning’s shave was really, really nice. I’d ‘tweaked’ the edge of the W&B on the Shapton 16k on Saturday, using really light pressure and this was the first time I’d shaved with it. It was really very smooth. The result after a WTG and a ATG was pretty close to perfection, a 9.5 I’d say.

Cufflinks of the day were antique silver.

Have a great week, guys, last week’s photos were really, really good…

Yeah, in fact cufflinks was my second obsession. Vintage German Medium Format cameras was the first, but there's only so much you can use them. I started thinking about old stuff that isn't just something you can use occasionally, but everyday. I loved the idea of taking 'just' wearing a shirt to work each day to another level, just adding a little bit of nicety and novelty to my day. And it's something you can do (wear vintage and antique cufflinks) every day almost. I like old stuff. Then it was tea and coffee cups (German, English), then fountain pens then razors...

I'm actually now thinking about one of those antique shaving stands, with the bowl and jug and mirror and candle holders. Now THAT would be cool...

After a crazy day at work today I felt the need for a great relaxing shave.
At that moment I realized that due to the last few weeks being pretty hectic, all my recent shaves have been too much about getting the job done and not enough about enjoying the act of shaving.
So tonights shave was different. I spent probably 30 minutes on 3 relaxing passes.
A fantastic 3 pass BBS. This is what its all about

I was thinking about Glenn (Sharp) during tonights shave.
The Bigelow stuff and the brush were gifts from Glenn. Haven't seen him around lately, anyone spoken to him?

Two passes to one of the best BBS shaves in my life. What a tremendous way to start off SWMBO's birthday! Have a great day, gentlemen!
