    Good evening Gentlemen!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Frank shaving badger
Soap: VdH / Speick cream / glycerin
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: Wostenholm & Sons, 5/8 frameback, brass frame
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Provence home made splash
Notes: Touched up the razor on my welsh slate hones, sticky smooth shave. 2 relaxing passes to BBS. I rarely uberlather, but felt like it today and it did not let me down, piles of soft warm lather always feels good. The glide and cushion feels very nice in this combo. For crowning of my alone time, my impression of south France, cedar and cypress with provencial herbs and a touch of lavender. A dry and invigouriating fragrance.

Almost 3 days from last shave. My face likes these times without shaves. I feel my skin better. The shave becomes more confortable and less irrritation. Very close shave today, the balm was unnecesary but I used it anyway.

    Default Tuesday

I've been out of town since early last Friday morning. After three days of DE razor shaving,
I wanted a straight razor shave really bad. So...

Prep: Hot shower -- followed by 3P pre-post-shave cream
    SC: Gibbs “Frescura Marina”
Brush: Rooney Heritage "Stubby" 2XL - Imitation Jade “Super Silvertip Badger”
Strop: VB Red Latigo 50 fabric; 60 leather
Razor: 5/8” Giesen Forsthoff “Timor Special”
Toner: Thayers “Original” Witch Hazel w/ Aloe Vera
ASB: Barclay Crocker – Vitamin E “Bay Rum” Scent
AS: Ogallala Bay Rum “Bay Rum & Sandalwood”
Result: A close, comfortable well-deserved straight razor shave.
