    Wednesday

I shaved with the Schulze Wiener Schaber this morning, using an Überlather of La Toja, Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad and glycerine. The first pass was excellent. I wasn’t going to do a second pass but had so much lather left over I did one anyway. I’m glad I did, as the result was superb.

Cufflinks of the day were Edwardian chain-backed dogs’ portraits (a Bulldog, a Dalmatian, a Terrier and I think maybe a German Short Haired Pointer) behind celluloid. These are probably my favourite cufflinks.

The beer was what I bought when I got home after my workout. It’s from El Salvador.

    Razor: Schulze Wiener Schaber
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Überlather : La Toja/Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad/Glycerine
    After Shave: Floïd

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

    That's a nice looking brush...
Well actually Carl it is sort of home made, I took the measurements from my Feather razor, and purchased a small bar of stainless steel from Ebay, then looked at the original feather base and tried to copy it as close as possible, then took the bar along with my drawing including razor to my local technical college, and gave it to a young apprentice, I asked him to have a look at the razor, let him take a few measurements, just in case, and he kindly agreed after getting permission from the lecturer, he then knocked one out for a very reasonable price. PS, I really like the Terrier cufflinks, i've always owned Terriers all my life, my favourite Dog.

    Mühle R89 + Gillette Spoiler | Chubby 2 | Bomb Vetiver + Cedar | LT Piver Vetiver

Needed to go with something mild to let my cut heal on my chin, so the R89 got the call. All in all, it was a wonderful shave. I'm BBS and ready for court...

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: Boker Red Injun 102
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: TSD English Fern
    AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Finish: Agua Lavanda Puig
Tunes: Sweaty Uncle Teddy-Cat Scratch Fever, Grand Funk Railroad- Closer to Home, Jackson Browne- Doctor My Eyes

A fantastic 3 pass Hollywood shave, mid-week even. I'm smelling very wildflower, very English this morning, now if I only had a Dunhill and some Squadron Leader. Oh well, I guess a Kaywoodie and some Granger with my morning coffee will work just fine. Have fun out there fellas!
