    Default Second SOTD w/Pic!

    Greetings Gentlemen,

Scince I didn't post a picture of my first SOTD, I thought I'd post a picture of my second. It is essentially the same as yesterdays sans the DE89.
I am really happy with the result: a silky smooth finish, except for the few nicks I incured! I felt like I was just being a little sloppy this morning for some reason, oh well, I know my technique will improve with time.

Nice razor. I have a few of the Aristocrat and Fat Boy razors. In my experience, the doors sometimes get a little loose which will cause some nasty stuff. Make sure you tighten the door and it stays tight.

    TUESDAY

King Razor (Indiana Pa) 4/8? King Midas Razor
    Badger Brush
    JM Fraser Original SC
    Thayers
    AV Ice Blue AS
    AV Ice Balm
    Bigelow Blue Cologne

I scored this King for under $15, and it cleaned up beautifully. It is a round nose, with lovely translucent tortoise celluloid scales. I realized that I really like the steel and the smoothness of my other King razor, and I found this one, plus An Expert Barber for really good prices. I honed this's King Midas on my Norton 4/8 and Stropped it, and it's just as smooth as the older Karbon King that I have.

Like other members heRe, I am beginning to really appreciate the older US made razors.

I also picked up a Shumate that I honed last night that I will try tomorrow.

Back from an Army Weekend. Great shave to start the week. Can you ever go wrong with a Mix of MDC and J street? With a Goldedge in fantastic shape? Nope! Just finished a 2 mile run and morning PT now time to relax.

Holy moley, what a great lookin' Duck! I've got your Dubl Duck's double (which makes four ducks). It's the only Duck in my li'l collection. Ain't been honed yet, though. Someday soon.

    Cheers!
