Monday
The ongoing test of my Gold Dollar 66, tonight's supporting crew were a Simpson 57, Nanny's excellent hard soap "Rasage Traditionnel", Alum and Blue Stratos Aftershave.
This was shave #7 since honing and as is also typical with my "good" razors the edge no longer feels freshly honed. The shave was still excellent, as near BBS as I ever choose to go with a straight, and very comfortable. As it stands so far this blade is showing comparable performance to plenty of my vintage ones. Not bad for a cheapyRegards

Prep: Hot Shower / Very Hot Water Soak / Extra Virgin Olive Oil Rub Razor: 4/8 Robeson 'Sure-Edge' fresh off the stones Hones: 100 laps 12k, Diamond, CrOx, Clean felt, leather Brush: 24mm Silvertip in American Ash Uber: Spieck & Sire Irisch Moos + VDH AS: Alum Block + Humphrey's 'Redness Reducing' witch hazel Edc: British Sterling Result: a touchup to the Robeson yesterday left me with little doubt that this small, nimble blade is a keeper. It is super keen, but smooth as well. I brought in my 8/8 Westonton to fill in if I did a poor job, but it wasn't needed. 2 pass DFS and I was very satisfied
No pic tonight, walked with SWMBO tonight after dinner and now Alcatraz!!!
Have a great Week!
