Thumbs up Sun March 11th - Sat March 17th

    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Zartina
    Brush: C2
    Soap: SRD Bulgarian Rose
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    AS: Booster - Mosswood

Spring is in the air in Vegas. Trees and plants are slowly flowering and several of my cactus are starting to wake up from hibernation. Took out one of my favorite soap for the occasion, SRD's Bulgarian Rose. What a scent and total performance soap. I sure pray SRD will ever decide to offer a new batch. It's that good. The Zartina is a very smooth shaver. Nice full hollow singing razor. I'm as clean and bbs shaven as they come.

Don't forget to adjust your clocks. DST is lurking at 2.00am (Except Arizona and Hawaii)

    Enjoy the new week, gents.

A sunny and very warm Sunday morning here in Oslo today.
This is one of the biggest days in Norwegian sports, the "Holmenkollen Sunday" with Ski-Jumping and Cross country skiing competitions.
I'm off to watch it, and I'm sporting a mighty clean shaven face after this great shave today.
    Have a great week all!

I've been using this razor to get to know my hones a little better this week.
I think I've taken this edge as far as I can now, and a lovely edge it is.
The fantastic La Toja lather was a sample supplied by Rene, thank you sir
3 passes and a fantastic BBS tonight.

The family and I are heading down to Sydney tomorrow. Jack is having a routine bone marrow test on Tuesday.

Thanks for all the great posts and pics gentlemen, have a great week

Hi Grant. I hope it goes OK. Bailey now has hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. I understand how stressful this is. Live for the moment, like the kids teach us to...

    Sunday, De Pews Day

I’m starting to determine the razor for the day. That is, Saturday is DE day, Sunday is De Pews day, Monday is Schulze day (soon to be Revisor day), Tuesday is Wade and Butcher day, Wednesday is Klas Törnblom day, Thursday is Burrell day, Friday is Yet To Be Determined. I’m sure many of us have a seven day set of different vintage and new razors, with each sharing its attributes for the day, some are sharper than others for when we need sharp (like the first day of the working week), some are smoother and less sharper (Wednesday or the weekend), some are just nice for when we need nice (Thursday), some are classic casual for when we need classic casual (DE day).

A lovely day today, commenced with hand ground coffee beans (in a Spong vintage grinder), followed by a walk to the local forest with Lucy the Dalmatian, followed by a picnic with the wife, kids and grandchild (Bailey); throwing the ball and feeding the ducks and drinking some wine. This is the stuff of life. All else is fluff…

    Razor: De Pews
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Überlather : Proraso/C O Bigalow/Glycerine
After Shave: Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar

    Unhurried, comfortable and relaxing shave.
    Windy 10C / 50F and overcast.
The smell of salt from the fjord gives me a feeling that spring is in the air.
