    Default Spring forward shave

An unusually late shave today. Took a road trip this weekend to see my daughter at college(Texas A @ M). After arriving back home from a weekend of rain and and being tired, I also figured out that daylight savings time is upon us. I decided to shave tonite with the Henckels #60 as I will be an hour behind tomorrow morning.
Musgo lime, Razorock, and Stetson finish was great!. The #60 is always the silent killer of a tough, multiple day beard and this shave was no exception!
Set the clocks(forward) and have a GREAT Week, Gents!

No photo this week, but my shave is still the same as always (I feel slightly inadequate compared to you vets! My RAD needs feeding!)

Thiers Issard from The Art of Shaving, Van Der Hagen Deluxe shave soap with glycerin (9 drops today; I think I've found my perfect amount), neutrogena post-shave lotion, clubman aftershave. I'll be ordering a set of Norton stones this week, so maybe I'll be able to get the Landers into rotation next week.

    Enjoy your week, gents!

No shave today, which left me kind of bummed out, cuz I was prepared to do a test shave on a razor I worked on this morning.

A nice shave with the Schulze, but I forgot about a small cut I had and opened it up again. Used the last of the La Toja cream today. Not a bad cream, but not really a favourite; not enough scent for me.

A lovely, sunny early autumn day, might throw a roast on the Webber BBQ…

    Default Yerterday's Shave

Long day yesterday returning my daughter to Penn State after her break. It was a pleasant ride, traffic was very light. When we arrived, we picked up some of the stuff she needed and hit the creamery for some Ice Cream. Dropped her at her dorm and then returned home in time for a nice shave, dinner and then relaxed for the evening.

    Hot shower, Stephan's, warm oil.

Penn State Creamery. If you've never been, and are in the area, stop by. You won't regret it.

Kikuboshi Special | Cyril R. Salter Indian Sandalwood | Thäter Bulb | Thayers Lavender | Sabon | Villoresi Sandalo

This was my first outing with the Salter Sandalwood cream, which was an early birthday gift from my friend Rene. He told me it was good stuff, and he was not overstating at all. The scent has a lot more going on than simply sandalwood. The spices behind it really make for some relaxation. The Kikuboshi was equally good today. It has a wonderfully smooth edge and I knew I was going to get a good shave when the blade almost felt like it was creating suction to my face on the first pass. I topped it all off with the incredibly intoxicating Villoresi Sandalwood which has a great cedar/sandalwood accord working with a hint of citrus. It's starting out to be a great day!

    L'Occitane Verbena Soap
    Maxotte 6/8
    Le Tuft Une Grande
    Vito's Coconut & Almond
    Alum & Witch Hazel
    Botanics Moisturiser SPF 15
Coty Raw Vanilla Eau De Cologne

    Jamie.

Very fine shave, even though this very sharp square point gave me a little reminder how sharp she is at the toe, just on the jaw line, very good shave none the less one pass with minor clean up.
