A great way to start off the week, with tropical breezes flowing through my mind as the temperature reaches 12C today. Spring is here.

Don't really know where to start with this one but here goes.
My old barber is semi-retired and not always available so I have been in search of a new barber.
I noticed that a shop down the road had opened again and thought I would give it a try.
Rick is one of those old school great sorta guys. He gave me a great haircut, and he shaves the back of your neck with a shavette! I sent my brother down to him and he got a face shave (his first) and loved it!
I was already going to keep going to him but the last time I was in we were talking about straights and he pulled out a naniwa 12k and said "I've had this since barber school and don't use it, here you go if you would like it"...needless to say, I was completely bowled over by his generosity, and he refused any sort of payment! Needless to say, I tuned up a few razors and the results were spectacular! So.. Today's Shave,

Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
Brush: Thater 4125-2
Scuttle: G5
Soap: CADE
Razor: Peter J Michels "Square Deal" 6/8, square point
Post: CADE ASB
Result: I think my shaves have just went to the next level! Silky smooth edge and BBS!

Hope things go well. It breaks my spirit when I think that a bone marrow test can become "routine" to a child. Thoughts and prayers.....as always.
