Wow, Carl, that's some serious fire power for bunny shooting. I normally just do it with a 20 gauge shotgun, then again we like the bunnies up here, LOL. The bald thing must be in the air this week, as I went from a #5 to a #2 to see what my dome would look like.

    As for today:
    Razor: 3/8 Vita Style 121
Prep: hot water, hair conditioner, mineral oil
    Brush: Marvy (small stiff boar)
    Soap: Conk Almond
    A/S: Hot / cool water
Result: I went with my cheap first brush today because it's super stiff and I'm having trouble with the lather from the Conk soap being too light and "whipped". Didn't help.

And to keep with the shooting theme, I tried a new load for my .38 today. It shot well, so I'm making up more right now.

    DFriedl,

I found that if I cut a piece out of the conk and let it soak in my lather bowl in just a touch of hot water while I shower, it lathers up pretty well afterwords. Also helps to throw in just a drop or two of any shave cream or glycerine also.

Anyway, that's what works for me, and kept me from tossing it out completely for the exact same reason.

    Good luck!!

Hah, yeah, I have too many hobbies. I gave up brewing for Lent, though.

    Moosiker,
I do not understand much about rifles, but I do understand beautiful wood. And that stock is made of beautiful wood! Great stuff-thanks for sharing.

That's what drew me to it - that...and the big loop lever action. It's great for my big moose hands
